Except if you think about it, stereotypes are half true.

The Germans have always been a tough, stubborn and industrially organized. Just so happened to make them a great country for conducting wars throughout history.

The French are a much more artistic and natural people. They own the language of romance and thus aren't as fierce as some other countries. Just compare the French and German languages. Which one is more guttural and tough? Which one is smoother and loose?

Arabic countries tend to be all Islamic. They take their religion very true to heart and are willing to defend it. It doesn't make them any different from the rest of the world, some of them might just be more susceptible to extreme measures due to their already extreme practices. Christian groups were much the same way around the time of the Crusades. They used the whole "slaughter the non believers" it didn't mean all Christian groups believed that, but the situation brought out extremists in their groups.

The USA has been a very wealthy and powerful country through history. It's been considered a superpower and thus its caused its people to have to worry less. When you can relax and not have to worry, you can enjoy the luxuries of life. Some might call it "living off the fat of life."

TL;DR I like stereotypical humor as it humbles us as people and makes us think about our possible faults. As long as its all in good taste.

All stereotypes have some truth to them. That's why they exist. Stuff like Germans being Nazis obviously doesn't, but you get what I mean. Black people are good at basketball and like fried chicken. This is a fact.

We usually don't act like that. We tend to hate everyone equally.

It's ironic because the post in general stereotypes Americans as stereotypical.

Honestly, Americans don't care about foreigners nearly as much as they think we do. Sure, the conflicts in the Middle East have perpetuated our Arab stereotypes, but Americans for the most part look up to foreigners. Especially Europeans--considering that's where most of us came from. Yeah, we'll joke about Frenchies and Soviet Russians--but usually nothing more than jokes. Certainly nowhere near as serious as Europeans trashing America. We admire European food, culture, art, history, etc. Europe has a sort of mystery and depth that America doesn't [yet] have, and that appeals to us.
