The EUROPEANS (not Americans) came to North America and their diseases wiped out most of the Natives, and what was left of them failed to unite and failed to match our technologies and were eliminated for the sake of attaining more areas for our rapidly expanding population, all of which happened hundreds of years ago. Get over it.

The descendants of Europeans (which called themselves americans, as they were mostly born in the americas, very few european born settlers fought with the natives after the 13 colonies were created, most of the people fighting were americans) got natives dependent on alcohol, took land that way, then proceeded to move West, yes they gave them diseases, but really, that happens with any invasion, and slaughtered them, killing men woman and children, young and old, whereas most of the natives tribes, simply killed grown men.

Then those americans created governments, put the natives on reserves and have ****** them over ever since.

Moral of the story, it was Americans who bought Natives for the most part, Americans slaughtered everyone instead of only killing grown men (Which was the "honourable thing to do") and then stuck them on reserves which have devolved into trailer parks full of thieves, drugs and other illegal things due to the historical stigma surrounding the natives that made it near-impossible to find work, and therefore have been treated as second-class citizens until the past few decades.

At that time, Europeans were the Americans. If they merely visited and returned to Europe it would've been different. You can't blame Europeans for something just because the US wasn't an independent country at the time.

Also, the white men sent rags and stuff to the natives they had coated in said diseases, to effectively wipe them out. It was a genocide.

So with that logic the Spaniards arriving in Central America who's diseases the natives had no immunity to were Mexicans then? The people arriving in New England weren't Americans as the country didn't exist then. In fact they all were there for the intention of bringing glory and obtaining resources for their respective countries, who's kings they all still continued to swear loyalty to.

Yet, most of the people who fought with the natives in what is now the USA, were born in the Americas.
George Washington was born in a British Colony, is he not American?
He was born and raised in the Americas, was he not?
The denomination "American" historically means "from America" much like the Africans born and raised in British colonies in Africa were not British, they were African.

I was contradicting your statement that the Europeans were to blame for the genocide, not the Americans. Back then it was pretty much the same, except they were referred to as Settlers, not Americans. It's true that the ones who almost annihilated the Natives were of European origins, but those people settled into the unofficially named America and became citizens later on.

Your reasoning for this statement? Can you prove me wrong?
#38 to #31 - keijimaeda (11/28/2012) [-]
Yes, I can actually.

The fact that your saying "This isn't the Europeans fault, it was the Americans fault" when America had not even been formed or thought of at that time is completely and utterly ******* stupid. That's like saying "No, man, the Russians were so Soviets during the Renaissance Era, they just hadn't been invented yet lololol". It was in fact the Europeans fault, because it was the ******* Europeans who sailed over there. Americans and Canadians all have European heritage. And, to top this all off, your logic that the Euros gave the Native Aboriginals furs to wipe them out is completely false with lack of proof.

So, I reiterate: you are a stoopid

This is what I replied to mkchillin:

To put the blame on Europeans or Americans is the same thing. Yes, they had European heritage, no, they didn't stay that way. They were the first settlers, and what you may consider your founding fathers. To blame Europeans for something the Settlers did is the stupid thing here. Especially when you talk like Europe is a country. Most of the countries there didn't even send a single immigrant, they mostly came from England or Spain.

You truly have no sense of reasoning. You didn't even read the comment, did you?

Or as you would reply: "Poopie brain".
