OH MY GOD.
You just reminded me of a story a friend told me once.

Apparently her and some friends were at like a Comicon or something, and they saw that one of the short films being shown in the movie room they always have was called "Cold Rape." Naturally, they were curious, and so they asked an employee about it, and he just said, "it's not what you think, and it'll blow your mind."

So they decide to go watch it, and they get in "line" (though they're the only ones waiting for it), and whenever people call them to hang out they tell them "no way, we're waiting for Cold Rape! Come see it with us!" and shit like that, telling people it's not what they think and it'll blow their minds, and getting people to join them and shit.
After like a half hour of this, they've actually got a huge crowd for it, and they've got everyone hyped up and chanting "COLD RAPE! COLD RAPE! COLD RAPE!" even though none of them know what the hell it is at this point.

They finally get in, and at this point she described what has got to be the WEIRDEST MOVIE EVER, opening with a line like "a horny blizzard blows into town" or some shit, and having like a stalker snowman that the main character chick ends up cooking bacon for and weird shit like that. They said at the time that due to it being really recent, they couldn't find ANYTHING about this movie when they searched, but upon seeing your comment I decided to search myself and I FOUND IT!
