I dont want to burst your bubble, but those look like marine uniforms... Cant really make the pattern out clearly, nor can I look at the parade rest to tell, but green is the color the marines use.
User avatar #55 to #9 - victoryxgarden (11/26/2012) [-]
I just want to point out that parade rest is probably used in all branches of everything, since it has not previously been stated. That is all.
User avatar #35 to #9 - graydiggy (11/26/2012) [-]
You are a god damned idiot. Parade rest is used throughout the U.S. military and most uniformed services in the U.S. Also, Those are flight suits. Here is a tip. Use google to search **** before you publicly make yourself to be a ******* dumbass.
User avatar #49 to #35 - theonlytinman ONLINE (11/26/2012) [-]
Is that right, you ****** retard? You think I dont know what a parade rest is? How bout this, faggot. Go look up a marine corps parade rest, and an air force one, and you look at the goddamned difference. And make sure you google it, lest you look like an ass.

Just to let you know, you are talking to an Army Veteran who has done training and support for every single branch of the U.S. Military as well as training and support for multiple other military branches for many countries around the world. The standard for the parade rest is exactly the same throughout each. The form of the salute, standing at attention, and movements are the only things that differ from each in most cases.

Parade Rest: Parade rest is commanded only from the position of attention. The command for this movement is Parade, REST. On the command of execution REST, move the left foot about 10 inches to the left of the right foot. Keep the legs straight without locking the knees, resting the weight of the body equally on the heels and balls of the feet. Simultaneously, place the hands at the small of the back and centered on the belt. Keep the fingers of both hands extended and joined, interlocking the thumbs so that the palm of the right hand is outward. Keep the head and eyes as in the position of attention. Remain silent and do not move unless otherwise directed. Stand at ease, at ease, and rest may be executed from this position.

Eat a dick.

I told you to google it and you didn't, clearly. Ok, attention to detail. Go look at the marine corps parade rest. Go look at the air force parade rest. Dont hurt yourself trying to spot the difference.
User avatar #58 to #57 - graydiggy (11/26/2012) [-]
That whole section explaining Parade, Rest is a quote from Google. Word for word it is used for each branch. By technicality it is exactly the same for each branch.

Why do you feel the need to over analyze a picture on the internet. No one really cares what you think about it. No one cares if you think it is fake or whatnot. It is a picture.

As for the uniforms, The marines use two different combat uniforms. One for summer wear. (Tan in color with a digital camo layout.) And one for winter. (Green and brown with a digital camo layout.) Flight suits used by the Airforce are either a brownish green color or a BDU style uniform. (as shown in this picture.) And to further prove how worthless your opinion is. How can you possibly not be able to clearly see the uniforms that they are wearing, but can clearly see the exact position of parade rest in each individual to determine what branch they are in? You must be blind and arrogant, or a horribly bad troll.

Ok, gramps. I wasnt planning on being that guy, but I'm a marine. I ****** know what our goddamned uniform is. I over analyze because I can. And I did so for the same reason you felt the need to try to belittle me. Go take your little Iraq deployment ribbon and shove it up your ass.
User avatar #60 to #59 - graydiggy (11/26/2012) [-]
Gramps? Iraq deployment? Who said I was that old? Who said I deployed to Iraq? I never said any of those things. That further proves your lack of knowledge and ability to assume that you know things. I have also noticed that everyone pulls the Marines out of their ass when they want to claim Military service. I'm not buying it. And if it is true, you are probably a FNG fresh out of training. I used to be like you right out of basic. A young buck thinking I was hot **** and full of all the right information. I was neither. Your argument that you did it for the same reason as me is completely untrue. I did it because you made a wide assed assumption based on nothing. What is your excuse again?
User avatar #63 to #60 - theonlytinman ONLINE (11/26/2012) [-]
Young buck? I used to be like you? Grampa talk. I asked a simple question based on my observation. Green=marines, but the lack of windows in the parade rest says airmen. Thus why I even asked. Then you come out and assume that I know nothing about the military when theres a VERY high chance that I know more than you? **** no, gramps.
User avatar #64 to #63 - graydiggy (11/26/2012) [-]
Dude. I'm 24 years old. I said "I used to be like you" because I WAS in the Army. I am a VETERAN. Past tense. And the marines have never been green. That's the Army. The lack of windows in the parade rest is because they are parallel to the angle of the wings of the B-52. The angle is hindering your site through their arms.

Lastly, I did not assume. I made an observation based on everything you have said and the way you act. You have not used any lingo related to the military, you have no military bearing, you have no real attention to detail, you make uneducated assumptions, you have no signs of respect that I can see, ect. All of those put together tell me that either you are not in the military, or are a cherry. Either those or you are just a Blue Falcon and don't give a **** .
User avatar #67 to #64 - theonlytinman ONLINE (11/27/2012) [-]
Ok, ********* . I, RIGHT NOW, am wearing a green ************ woodlands uniform. Seriously, go do some research. But yeah, you clearly have yet to go look up the air force regulations on parade rest. You can't try to say "its the angle" when that has absolutely nothing with the outcome of the picture.

I'm not using "military lingo?" Sorry, let me try that real quick. Oorah, kill,Chesty Puller, Marine corps, yut, ETC (not ect)

No military bearing? Do you have cameras in my room or something? How can you measure military bearing over the internet? Please, teach me your ways grampa. And that attention to detail thing? Yeah, thats how I notice things like the windows in the parade rest or a lack thereof, and attempt to see the pattern in the uniform to make correct assumptions. Very educated ones at that.

As for signs of respect, I wouldnt show you respect unless you've earned it, especially coming right out of the gates accusing me of not being in the military when you can't figure out something as simple as woodland cammies for marines.

So no you can pull your half-assed Iraq deployment ribbon out of your ass. It did its time. And while you're at it, pull your head out and stop acting like you know everything, you disgusting ******* recruit.

User avatar #68 to #67 - graydiggy (11/27/2012) [-]
Woodland camo hasn't been used in years. The newest thing the Marines has, may be multicam.

No you don't have military bearing. you are getting all butthurt like a kid with a skinned knee. You have also displayed no tact.

"ect" was a typo 'etc' is the correct one and stands for etcetera. It's an abbreviation.

Someone sounds a bit hurt about Iraq... Did your unit think you were a **** up and not want to send you downrange? I can see why. You show no discipline. Either your
DI failed you on Recruit training/SOI, or you just didn't give a **** . Hell I get the idea that you are in your MOS training still. You act like one of them.

Attention to detail failed you. You clearly cannot see the picture. How can you properly see the Window at that angle? On top of that, look at how close they are. Not much room to be perfect.

So listen here princess. I did my time. I served this country. Every single Marine I have ever me, has given me that respect regardless of my branch. I have done things and seen things that iI regret and wish I could un-see. I have also done things, seen things and been places you could only dream of. I am a warrior and a Soldier. I have a pride in my service. Something you seem to lack. You act like a child with your insults that are very poorly constructed.

Have fun finishing training. I know for a fact that any Marine that was or is worth dick to the Corps would not act like you unless they were a **** stick recruit or can't ******* themselves.

I'm done arguing with you. Have a good night princess.

Oh and feel free to make all the assumptions about me that you want. I couldn't care what less what some washed up faggot thinks about me, in all honesty. But my DI's were the greatest men ever to live, and for you to insult them is ****** up. And on the brighter side, you have just shown your ass enough for me to also be done with this conversation. I wish you the ********* life that you could imagine.
