Adam and Eve were black?

I'm-
I'm strangely not offended.
If anything, provides food for thought.
I mean it's hard to believe Jesus was white. After all, he was born in the Middle East. Unless at some point in time, skin colours evolved rather rapidly from Roman times onward, which I highly, highly doubt considering the Egyptians were, for all we know, brown, I can't honestly believe that Jesus was as pale as he's depicted.

But that's just me reading too far into it.
Neat idea though.

Thats how they knew he was the savior dood.
Everyone's black, he's white. Even if he wasn't magical, him being white is what 'pure'.
Also niggers are devilspawn.

Because Israel is the only country in the Middle East where Arabians are magically excepted from even the slightest Arabian complexion.

Do note Jesus was born before international relations and integration took place on a massive scale, along with interracial marriage etc.

Yes, it happened, but I find it highly unlikely it was as diverse back then as it is today.
I'm not saying he was as black as the night sky, but I doubt he was as pale as he is depicted in most paintings.

It's only in "white" countries Jesus is portrayed as white. If you go to a church in africa, he's black.

There's a very good Norwegian short-story which takes place back in the days, when black people weren't allowed in churches, when in the middle of the ceremony, the door opens, and a sad, dark-skinned man is standing there. When they basicly tell him to fuck off, he's crying quietly and leaves. (Spoiler alert: It was probably Jesus)

Well since so far the earliest humans (that we've found) were in Africa, they were probably black or at least dark skinned

Why would you be offended?

Because this is the internet.
People get offended over technicolour horses.

Jesus was a Jew, for all intents and purposes he'd look like our modern day Israelis, he's depicted as a white guy, because the Christian church is predominantly white, it's more appealing for people to be praising a man of their own skin colour, as you can imagine.

Why would you be offended in the first place?
And the fact that Jesus was probably brown isn't that disputed.

Kudos to you, sir

Yep, nothing there to be offended about. Homosapiens originate from Africa where darker skin had a survival advantage, and as people moved north and to darker places in the world, pale skin worked better. White Jesus was for ancient advertising purposes like zackmorris said.

Jesus probably wasn't white, the church portrayed him as white so their mascot wouldn't look like the dudes they were crusading.

Exactly.
As well as nowhere in the bible does it describe what Jesus looks like. He could be a lego brick for all we know.

and later on da vinci used his own face in painting of jesus wich became the dominate figure of him.

You're pretty close to the truth. Jesus was portrayed by artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci as being white because that is the skin color he was used to. Da Vinci also painted the last supper as Jesus and the disciples eating at a table like a meal in Italy, while in the Middle East they ate on the floor. Later on St. Francis of Assisi made the Nativity scene in a stable made out of wood instead of in a cave where animals were kept in the Middle East.

tldr; culture influenced our perception of Jesus

You're probably right. And yeah, this is coming from a christian. Heck, the pastor of my church is my mother.

*considering they had met the Egyptians which were for all we know, somewhat coloured if not brown etc.

Shut up, it's late for me.
