Yes, my opinion surely would have changed their minds or helped things at all. Its a class of over 200, mostly populated by feminists, and is essentially a closed sphere.

This isn't some movie where I give a rousing speech and change people's minds, speaking up in that setting does jack shit. Just as their feminist-theory masturbation meant nothing, so too would my commentary. In fact, it might have just hurt my grade since my professor was on their side

If your professor touches your grade for no other reason than you speaking out against something you disagree with then your professor is a fool that knows that they are wrong. And if you gave a well constructed argument and knew your shit you could easily back these people (who sound like the unintelligent "WOMEN ARE BETTER BECAUSE VAG" types) into a metaphorical corner. Even if it didn't change their views it would reinforce the views those who agree with you, which they probably could have used if they had just had a class of feminists verbally beating the shit out of them. The vocal minority vs. the silent majority and all that nonsense.

The vocal minority bit only works in a large scale setting and also doesn't even apply here. Like I said, a classroom is a closed sphere. You discuss topics on hand stick to assigned readings. It isn't some discussion that's pulling information from all aspects of society.

Also, this wasn't a vocal minority. It was a silent minority. The majority, in this sample, is comprised of feminazis. There's simply no point in speaking up if it serves no purpose. I'd literally be calling attention to myself just because I felt like hearing myself speak.

Lastly, it really doesn't matter what my professor thinks of their actions, what matters is my grade. You're either not seeing or completely ignoring the practical problems.
