Plus you can know what happens after the second series of Game of Thrones. A lot of **** goes down in Westeros.

While I agree that the books are deeper and more detailed and a lot more **** happens (I've read the first 3), I think the adaptation is fantastic.
They've done a fantastic job, and while I can see why some book readers can criticize some missing details, I think they have done unbelievably well. Remember, in the books you have the thought process of many characters. In the show you can't have that. In the books the background info is also given through the eyes of some characters.
Amazing books. Amazing show.
(on a side note has anyone read the Tales of Dunk and Egg?)

naziyahtzee (11/24/2012) [-] Oh yeah, the show definitely is very good and unlike a lot of TV adaptions it is very similar to the book (except they make the children all a bit older), but I was more recommending that this guy reads the books before watching the show.
