oh boy, here we go. if you read the books, chief's story is a big contradiction to what happens in halo wars,(including john's forge's story) just because they have a common name doesn't mean that they're one and the same

Sorry but its not. It wasnt created by the same company and they didnt tell them what they were doing for story. The actual halo franchise has so many contradictions to that game that it hurts.

Its not canon. Even bungie said so.

1. Bungie said no such thing
2. Yes they confirmed with Bungie on the story otherwise it wouldn't be made.
3. It's considered by many fans and by 343 and Bungie as canon, following the events of The Spirit of Fire and the Characters such as Professor Ellen Anders (Who was the in the main part of the story of the Spartan Program)

I'm not starting a arguement I am just saying Halo Wars is considered canon throughout the the Halo Universe

2.halo wars had nothing to do with bungie to begin with,the entire thing was kind of a rip off(not saying it wasn't good, buts thats what is was)

1. Yes they did. They said so in a news letter the day of announcement.
2. No they did not. They only negotiated a basic concept and the rights to use the name.
3. This argument is completely invalid anyway. John was 7. he was abducted and went through rigourous training.
He was crafted as a spartan and was only about 16 during Halo 1, which takes place over 20 years after Halo wars, where John Forge is already almost 30.

Hate to burst the bubble, but Master Chief (John, whatever people are gonna call him) was about 41 by the time Halo 1 happened. If you want math, here it is: He was born in 2511, the events of Halo 1 took place in 2552. 2552-2511=41. Just making a slight correction.

So even if it was canon, Forge cannot in any way shape or form be Master Chief.

There's lazers, aliens, space bases, clones and all kinds of shit. If they really wanted to, it could go in EITHER arguments way. It really doesn't matter what the fuck happened; it's non-fiction. Enjoy the series, and don't over complicate it.
