The Law is a system of rules and guidelines which are enforced through social institutions to govern behavior.

So they enforce the law, so they can put people with the wrong the "behavior" that they/ The Law sees wrong, in jail, resulting in the ruining of a mans life.

And then get paid in kind with doughnuts.

It's funny because, the cops tend to overlook the "guideline" part, which does not include putting a guy in jail.
