Speaking of iPods, I cracked my screen today, so I was wondering, how long can I expect my iPod touch to last, now that the the screen is cracked? Will it have any effect on the iPod and how long it lasts? I don't want to buy a new one, so how much would a replacement screen cost and where can I buy one?
It's cracked pretty badly, btw. I'd post a picture, but the only camera I have is on said iPod.

most of the bottom glass is gone because ive been fiddling with it, and it has about 2 cracks running through the whole screen

Ah, well mine is cracked in about a million pieces. I dropped my old iPod pretty good a few times, and never had this problem. Idk why.

well, i dont know about that, but old Ipods do survive everything, except when they fly out of your pocket while going 100 on a bike... R.I.P. ~2000-2010

My old one's headphone jack stopped working, but that was after about two years of near daily use, so I was reasonably satisfied.

i took "decent" care of it, as decent as an 8-9 year old can, so many memories and good music... ;_; its just couldnt take a minor 100mph crash into the road... just picked it up and slowly shed a tear...

Wow. But I know what you're saying. I was so sad when mine finally gave up. It was a long time before I "accepted" my new one because I just kept thinking of all the times and memories I had with my old one. All the music I discovered, the joy I felt when I downloaded my first cd, being able to listen to my favorite band regardless of where I was or who I was with, all of that just wasn't the same with my new iPod.
