Nothing bad is gonna happen because the calendar ending in 2012 was a religious calendar that marked the 2000th celebration of one of their festivities

It is the end of a cycle but THERE ARE other Mayan calendars and some of these stretch another 1000 years into the future.

I know. each of them are religious calendars. The Mayans were very spiritual, and didn't have a secular understanding of time. They only had a religious one
