so i was on yahoo answers,
I looked up 'how to solder without a solder iron' and this was the first to come up.
A wire in my xbox controller disconnected and i don't have a solder iron to fix it.

E well you can have your dad or you bend down and fart and that should melt the solder.

mookiez (11/20/2012) [-] A lighter might fix it. Do YOU have a blow torch? Heat a big piece of metal with the blow torch that will work. And the reason You need a big piece of metal is because it holds a lot of heat faster. I own a $500 soldering/desoldering/hot air gun, reflow station. Thing is badass. And don't burn the mother board. Also try youtube to see if there is anything on there that will help You.
