Pawn Stars and its related shows are fake, too. Just Google it. In one of the early episodes, the guy that is Rick Dale's brother in the show American Restoration brought in a coke machine to the Pawn Stars guys be restored, claiming it had been in the family for awhile, not mentioning at all the fact that he was the brother of the guy who was going to restore it. At the end of the show, the coke machine was also not even the same one as it was a later model.

American Pickers is COMPLETELY scripted as well. Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz don't even WORK for Antique Archaeology.

All of those shows are fake as shit, my man.

I used to watch the history channel in the background and would soak up information about everything from WWII to ancient civilizations. Now it's just ancient aliens and pawn stars.

The second history channel (H2 I think it's called) is a bit better, but not by much.

Science channel is still legit. Amazing programs on there.

I know, and I like those shows, but I'd say 10 percent of the show at best is dedicated to teaching history.

A guy will come in with an old gun and there will be a couple of facts about the item or the era.

I don't think history teachers are jumping for the Pawn Stars DVD for the class to watch.

Ya they really need to tune back on all the shows that are almost like reality tv shows. I remember seeing a Cajun Pawn Stars commercial that made it look like the Lizard Lick Towing show.
