"Grammar is so useless"

I don't know how it's like where you live but in the UK that is the case. You make your decision on what you learn for your GCSE's after year 9 and even then that decision felt like it came to early for me and still have some regrets.

Here we are given a choice too. I'm in my last year already and I have no regrets. I believe I've chosen well. However, many regret their decisions. I think that schools should give a lot more guidance to students before presenting them with a choice.

you see, I disagree slightly. I don't think school should be mandatory at all. If you're forced into something, you wont like it. teenagers supposedly think about doing the opposite of what they're told, or something. Its like reading, people who like reading weren't forced to read.

If schools were not mandatory in 10 years or so 80percent of kids couldn't read or write. I think that schools are a must, but the education system needs a major overhaul, at least in my country. Right now at school I feel as if they are trying to extinguish every bit of individuality and make everyone the same. No motivation whatsoever.

What age are you in 9th grade?

9th grade is typically started at 14 unless your birthday is before the cutoff while still on summer break, like my friend's is. But for the most part everyone (here) turns 15 at some point durning 9th grade.

Working at a museum. Being a historian. Being an archaeologist. And like Oshtper said, if we forget our history, we'll just do the same shit. Hell, depending on the game, you would have to learn about history to work as a game developer.

I remember people like that. They are the most fun to have in your class.

Hilarious to watch, but being the room is awkward when the teacher yells at them, or takes it out on the whole class.

True to a degree, but that leads to the general populace knowing absolutely nothing about science, which makes them really very ignorant when it comes to subjects like genetic modification or other 'controversial' techniques, so they default to the "This is bad because I know nothing about it" argument.

There will always be people studying biology and medicine, so I doubt that will be a problem. Plus, I've already forgot everything I learned in science, so I don't really see the point. At least courses like History can apply to almost every job.
