I thought so too but then I remembered:

Parenthesis then multiplication.
3(3.14-.14)= 3(3)= 9

You use distributive Property with exponents.

Pi isn't equal to 3.14. Pi is irrational, therefore subtracting only .14 would still leave .00159 and so on. Therefore, it will never be 9 o'clock.

But in math, Pi is a large decimal number that would be too ridiculous so they rounded it to 3.14.

Therefore it is nine.
