Kids have been doing drugs, having sex, smoking weed/cigarettes, drinking alcohol etc etc for a long time. Every generation had kids that did this. Nothing really changed. The reason why it seems as if this is the only generation that has done all these things, is because it is more advertised now, then it was back then. Movies, tv shows, and countless of stupid fucking teenager Facebook statuses show it. Back then, the kids who did all these things, kept it a secret. But now, it is somehow a "cool" thing for a teenager to post statuses or pictures of him/her smoking weed or getting drunk. In my opinion, I don't find it a bit cool. I think it is a pathetic cry for attention. Fuck the media.

well, that is more like the biggest problem. all this ignorance being fed from every direction to children has started to leave a mark on them and it shows, thus popularizing the idea and making more and more kids act like that... so, i think yeah... this generation is pretty fucked up compared to some of the others... because mainly, no values, no morals and no role models exist for them

I disagree, my younger brother goes to the same HS I attended 4 years ago; he has 12 friends that are pregnant--when I went there we had only 1 in the school.

That's funny, because in my high school, and statistically across the nation, there are less sexually active girls in high schools than ever before.

I would love a source on those statistics. Not to prove you wrong, but to make me feel better about humanity for a little while. A source for hope you could say.

It's amazing how everybody here completely ignores the cold hard facts, instead opting to look down their noses at people based on anecdotal evidence.
