The differance is that Half-Life (ep.)3 is being worked on as we speak. There haven't been a single word about a pokemon MMORPG. Ever. And it never will, as Nintendo is too simpleminded.

They registered a copyright for it actually, and it may well happen if the MMO titles on Wii U like Dragon Quest X do well.

That wasn't due to the petition, that was due to the console version selling much higher in the west than anticipated. Fans asked for a PC port, but it wasn't fueled solely by a petition.

Yes it was. From software even admitted to having no experience in porting and how it would be a bad port. Fans still wanted it, so it was made. It wasn't planned in advance.

I know, but what I'm saying is that there wouldn't be a chance in hell of a PC port had the console version not outlived expectations in sales, no matter how acclaimed it was or how many people signed a petition. Petitions are worthless unless there's some form of catalyst to set the action into motion, and even then they're still not all that valuable.

And I'm sure if you were to ask FromSoftware if they were going to port it to PC if the game sold poorly, the answer would be "no". It's not a simple case of people wanting it, therefore we should make it, it's whether there's going to be a return. Publishers and developers are businesses, if it's not economically viable to release a product then they won't do it. It's not a simple case of "here's a petition with 'x' amount of people saying they want this game." people asking for something isn't a guaranteed sale. There is not a chance in hell that Dark Souls would've been ported to PC had it not succeeded on consoles, completely regardless of any kind of demand.

The petition got the attention, the console sales made it happen. And what you think I'm saying doesn't make sense at all, and it's clearly not the point I'm trying to get across, I've offered my side of this with as much clarity as is needed. I suggest you actually read what I say because if haven't got my point by now then the problem is on your end.
