once, I was wondering around Skyrim and decided I'd actually roleplay. Instead of playing a game, I would play a life.
So instead of just jumping around everywhere because I know I'd win anyway, I decided to sneak around and act like every swordswing could kill me. I started acting like the NPCs were actual people. That fantasy didnt exist and this was all real. I even only carried what I could logically carry, and dropped weapons when I got more than two.

But then one day, I was wandering around a bandit hideout. I happened to stop for a second and listen to a guy talk. I'd already killed more or less everyone else, and thee wouldnt be anything else of value here, so it wouldnt hurt.
I listened to him say about how he only has one more payment of his bounty, then he'd be a freeman. He said about all the stuff he would do once he's free; go buy a proper place to live, get an actual job, etc.
I stood there, listening to this guy talk about how excited he was for the future. How much he could do. And he seemed so real... I couldnt kill him. I left, then shut the game down.

When you have nearly killed a bandit
and the bandit begs for mercy.
You think "Eh, I'll let him go, since I'm a cool dude and all."

Hey man, What's up?.
I say buy it. It's totally worth the money.
Oblivion has way more content then Skyrim.
Skyrim seems to be more user-freindly, while Oblivion has very thing an Elder Scrolls fan would want. The DLC is amazing too.
Not going to lie, Oblivion is a harder game then Skyrim, not difficult, but from the range of weapons, armor, magic, enchanting, potions, enemies, and possible way more quest and dungeons. I've only been playing it for 2 years, Xbox and Computer. I still can't get enough of it, as for Skyrim, I can play it for a while, but it's nothing compare to Oblivion.

do it. I always thought oblivion was the most superior in the series. the graphics in skyrim though more realistic doesn't capture the fantasy side of TES.

Oh hell yes. If you don't care much about the game mechanics and graphics being a little..outdated? It still has an awesome story, and the DLC is amazing. First game I got for the 360, and I played it for years.

Get Morrowind and download all the HD mods, expansion pack mods, additional weapons and spells mods, improved stealth mods and a tonne of other mods.

You end up with a game that looks as good as skyrim but has a more in depth storyline.

There will be a skyrim mod coming out that ports all of oblivion into the game. Quests, item, dungeons, etc. But it will probably be a while before it comes out. I'll be waiting for it before I replay the game. They are doing the same thing to morrowind as well, and that one should be coming out early next year.

Even though I know it would break the game a bit I'm always annoyed when a shoot something from cover, hit it right in the head, and it's basically fine afterwards.
