i'll never understand the mentality of people who go way out of their way to tell people they don't care about something, unsolicited.

I bet some sexual predator or some serial killer started that fashion, that way he an get an easy target list from a house without effort.
In the words of the great master foamy, it wouldn't hurt to think like a sociopath once in a while just for your own safety.

in a way, yes they are. I'm that guy that looks friendly so strangers assume they can strike up conversations and tell me about their problems. this plus the fact that i commute via bus adds up to a lot of hobos, hood rats, old people (who really aren't bad mostly), and assorted crazies who always have something to tell me.
Then it's understandable. My grandparents always tell me about everything and getting concerned in my business for some reason, I guess it's not totally the same, but still. Alas, you must also understand why people feel the need to tell sometimes.
Some people just feel really happy when they can relate to something and they tell it in the comment section. Some people don't have anyone else to turn to, so they speak to people on the internet. At first glance, you might think it's pathetic, but you don't really know their story.
I don't know if I'm making any difference, all I'm saying is, try to resist the impulse on the internet and try to tell the persons that are following you that they're getting on your nerves.. unless they're dangerous.
