You left out the Ambivalent brony, who is a middle-thing between the Closet and True brony.
He watches the show, has fun, occasionally discusses MLP with friends who share the interest, and has no fear of letting others know of his interest.
It has no impact on his life beyond being just another TV-show he watches.
May occasionally miss an episode or two.

well i suppose im a closet brony, but i dont even engage over the internet about it. its an ok show in my mind, but i feel no need to discuss it. few shows are worth discussing with people over.

I'm simply bothered by the fandom in general.

I don't really mind that you like the show, no not at all. But what compels you to make crappy fan fiction backed with crappy fan art? I don't see that for any other fans of shows, games, or movies, so what makes a good number of the fans make them?

I'm not hating, not in the slightest. I just think a lot of the fandom comes from the fact that it's not "socially acceptable" to watch this "little girl's show," therefore it's looked upon by these people as harmlessly rebellious, that it separates them from "the crowd."

Just my thoughts. I believe people legitimately enjoy this show, but still.

Wouldn't the world be a better place if you guys were all "closet bronies?" It's just a TV show after all. I love TV shows, but I'm not going to make my avatar one, because my love of a TV show doesn't really define me all that much. I have nothing against liking a TV show, but it gets a little silly..

It kinda blows that OP portrays "closet bronies" in a negative light, when they are the ideal.

I think I'm a mix of Closet brony and a True brony.

If people like a show then people like a show, it's like porn everyone has their own preferences and sure it may seem weird to someone, but that doesn't give them the right to put anyone down because of what they like... Personally i'll stick with DBZ

True brony all the way, with the exception of people I just met. Both my family and friends know I'm a brony and they don't seem to mind. Then again, maybe that's because I workout and they think I'll beat the shit out of them if they make fun of me. Either way, I win.
