Fuck the troops. Freedom died when we had to be x-rayed to travel within our own borders

The troops aren't directly responsible for what has happened. It's mostly who is in command ( the government) that's responsible. I too think that the government has gone too far in regards to the TSA. I also don't support the wars in the middle east at all.
User avatar #122 to #120 - realvegzillar (11/13/2012) [-]
Good, that means you're normal. I mention troops as they're always justified by saying that "They're fighting for our freedom!" when I believe the contrary to be true.

I don't care what you think of the government's decisions, but lay off the troops man.

To quote a wise anon
What you just said is by far the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life. In fact, I would feel safe in saying that you may be the single dumbest person on the entire internet. If someone punched themselves in the face and legitimately wondered why their face hurt, they would only be a fraction as idiotic as you just were. Today, you just broke the theory of free will, because no being capable of deciding its own actions would commit such an atrocity and insult to intelligence. Also, I'm now fairly certain that time travel is possible, as the only way to reach the nirvana of retardedness you just achieved is to inbreed with immediate family for 80 more generations than could be mathematically allowed in the time-frame that the Earth has existed. And with time travel being possible, it is now obvious that the dinosaurs were killed, the black plague was born, and JFK's skull was ruptured all by a fluctuation of space and time wrought forth from the universe's stressed and failed attempt to make reason of how something so infinitely moronic could have existed at any time or place within it. God does not exist, because if he did he just committed suicide from his overbearing guilt at creating you and allowing you to say that. Mount Olympus, Heaven, Paradise, and the "happy place" of every person, alien, animal, and plant are now drenched in blood and clones of Snooki's child because of you, you sad little man.

Right...Because in America we don't try to smuggle anything illegal, or stuff bombs into our carry on. Nooo, never happened

We are so stupid about security. Think about this, 9/11 happens and we ONLY increase security at the airport, then someone tries to put a bomb in their shoes so we tell people to take off their shoes, then people are trying to cook up liquid bombs so be ban liquids above a certain amount and now someone tries to put a bomb in their underwear and we're here. It's like all of our security measures are designed to prevent something which has just happened as if we can somehow change the past by altering the present; that's how stupid we are. You know terrorists don't have to attack airports, there's nothing in the terrorist hand book which says they have to attack the airport! They could attack trains or buses or malls or sports venues. If the big concern is that the terrorists will hijack the plane and fly it into a building then just make it impossible to get through the cabin door! That's all we ever needed to do.
#97 to #92 - mutants (11/13/2012) [-]
Oh so I guess after you get robbed once you shouldn't carry a gun around to protect yourself because it's pointless to prevent something in the future that just happened amirite?
Who needs fire extinguishers after the first fire?
And if you make it impossible to get in what would happen if both the pilot and the copilot have an accident and can't fly the plane? we all die.
Or what if the terrorists start offing the passengers one at a time until they open the door? woops there goes your plan
User avatar #100 to #97 - realvegzillar (11/13/2012) [-]
Not really, I accept your point about the fire and guns but we only ever take those actions once they've happened with no foresight to what a terrorist might try to do. Pilots would know how to treat the situation. However we only ever increase security on airports, not malls or more populated areas. none. So I think my opinion still carries merit.
User avatar #95 to #92 - idoliam (11/13/2012) [-]
You are really set on your point aren't you? Well, in that case, good day sir. I hope you can eventually realize that this is FunnyJunk and not some debate site for first world problems and politics.
User avatar #98 to #95 - realvegzillar (11/13/2012) [-]
Yep. I'm no noob I'm fully aware of funnyjunk and opinions but no one has given a reasonable response other that I should honour the people who die and that apparently airport security is the most important thing in society. Thanks for being intelligent about it.
User avatar #103 to #98 - idoliam (11/13/2012) [-]
FYI: Not a single person has stated that "airport security is the most important thing in society." And only one has said you "should honor the people who die." You seem to be twisting words and making a minority into the majority which you use to fuel the same point. Just sayin :)
User avatar #104 to #103 - realvegzillar (11/13/2012) [-]
I'm not quoting, I'm paraphrasing. The only comments which appear to have merit bring up these points
User avatar #109 to #104 - idoliam (11/13/2012) [-]
Yes, but most people are saying their not a big fan of 9-11 or airport security has made the U.S a little safer. Paraphrasing it into, "the greatest thing in society." Is an over exaggeration reflecting the comment responses.
User avatar #110 to #109 - realvegzillar (11/13/2012) [-]
Well that's the impression I got, if you got another one then good on you
User avatar #71 to #64 - durkadurka (11/13/2012) [-]
Your second sentence has merit, but the first has none.

Regardless of what our government does, we should always honor the people who put their lives on the line for us.

I suppose so, I mean, what's the worst that could happen? A plane flying into a tower, I mean come on how serious is that?
#69 to #64 - oxYKellark (11/13/2012) [-]
People like you.....words can not even fucking describe how utterly retarded you are. That comment has never made me hate some one more. You do realize they x-ray people at air ports for your own protection. I dont know about you but i really wasnt a fan of 9-11 and if someone can make the U.S. a little bit safer by looking at my skeletal system when ever i get onto an airplane then i really dont give a fuck.
User avatar #74 to #69 - realvegzillar (11/13/2012) [-]
Trying to stop the problem after it happens is pointless. It's like putting out a mousetrap after you know the mice have moved to another house (weird analogy I know). If you'd look at my other comment which backs up my point you'd know that it's not just the x-rays. The terrorist really have won; we put up with 2 arbitry wars with loss of American life all accross the board while having a huge cost to the taxpayer. We've put up with secret prisons, we've put up with citizens being arrested without trial or charge, we've put up with torture, we've put up with the loss of every meaningful right and we've put up with the government invading our privacy at every turn. Don't tell me that we're even close to winning this war.
User avatar #89 to #74 - thecreeperslayer (11/13/2012) [-]
The whole point of the xrays is to stop terrorists happening in the future dipshit. To go with your analogy, we found the rat, and now we are placing traps. They didn't go to another house, the threat is still relevant as long as there are people who want to destroy the US (and there are a lot). And Al Queda and the Taliban are ( or at least were) very serious threats to the U.S and getting rid of them was necessary, and though the way the government went about doing it may not have been the best way, it's better than doing nothing. And no, the government isn't some evil Big Brother illuminati shit that's "taking your freedom" and "invading our privacy at every turn". Everything your little bitch ass takes for granted in life is all set in place thanks to the government. Stop whining and stop being and ignorant son of a bitch giving all Americans a bad name.

tl;dr this guy is an idiot

I can't list all the things we've lost because of the government is fighting for our 'freedom' the x-rays were just where I felt the line was visabilily crossed

List the things we've lost. Make a fucking list, do it. Ya know what i'll do it for you, so you know.
1. Life, unfortunatly people die in war. It's just a fact.
2. Some privacy at airports, who the fuck cares if we have to get an x-ray. Its keeping the U.S. safer.
3. Money, no shit we went through a recession. and had been in two wars for 10 years straight.

There, thats it.
User avatar #409 to #253 - realvegzillar (11/14/2012) [-]
Right, you clearly don't understand the situation very well as you're trying to justify whatever crack-pot, almost perfect world you imagine it to be. I've made a list, it's in the comments and it has much more merit than that tiny piece of feecal matter
