George Lawrence Price was actually the last soldier of the BRITISH EMPIRE killed in World War 1. Canada was still part of Great Britain at the time.
The actual title of FINAL casualty of World war 1 goes to an American from Baltimore named Henry Nicholas John Gunther. As his unit approached a German roadblock, he charged the enemy on November 11th at 10:59 AM with his bayonet, against his supervisor's orders. The Germans waved him off, but he kept on charging. They fired warning shots until he got too close, and eventually sprayed him with MG fire. It was suspected that he obsessed over a prior demotion and wanted to "get right" with his superiors, thus causing the suicidal dash towards the enemy.
With all due respect though, have a green thumb.
