I'll be perfectly honest. Despite his entire lack of dialoge and almost no visible motive, I actually REALLY want to see him again. Why? Because he has SO much potential as a villain. I think they should've broken the first episodes into three, and made it where Sombra actually succeeded in the middle one, and the day is saved in the last. IT COULD'VE GONE SO. FUCKING. FAR.

He's no villain in my opinion. He just looks like a really awful OC pony
Hm. To me, Sombra seemed like a pretty straight forward villian. Power hungry D-bag who just wanted to enslave his old people again. I found him alittle boring in himself, but what really made him to me, was how the other Crystal Ponies spoke of him. It seemed pretty dark, considering its target demography are still children. Also the flash-back was neat :D
no villain is valid to me unless they are near immortal and come back to life as a dragon
i know what they were trying to do but seriously they could have done more with the "evil" guy like they did with all the other badguys or foes they had on the show. i really wanted to know more about him then his heart went evil and took over and poof. why did he do it to begin with and so one would have been good. its like they are half assing things now since i have a feeling this is the last season.

So I watched my first episode of MLP; FIM tonight. The first episode. Not saying I'm not intrigued, but not sure if I really care to watch anymore. Any Input?
the problem with combra is that he never had any 1 on 1 time with any of the mane six. take discord: he had a 1 on 1 conversation with everypony. we got to know him and even kind of like him.
"wait i think blarg means yes, sombra does blarg mean yes?"
"blarg"
"i did it! i speak his language!"

I hate how Sombra was treated in MLP. I mean i liked how they built him up as some sort of Voldemort "He who most not be named" Type fellow, But being defeated by Spike, And hardly getting out a sentence...It sucked to be honest.
i feel like they could have done way more with him and dark magic but the main conflict seemed to be Celestia's test.
