I have USB floppy drives but I use them mostly for storing taxes in my file cabinet.
And I am an IT guy so I have to keep lots of legacy equipment.

I really don't get this reason, I heard it a lot , but how is it for artistic reasons if most of BETTER programs you use for editing , programing and 3D modeling are made by companies that are not Microsoft nor Apple.

I don't think anyone who wants to make a decent video would use IMovie over Sony Vegas for example.

I haven't used Sony Vegas yet, but I have heard very good things about it. Watching some of the videos with it seems a little complex and tedious. Whereas IMovie is a little too simple, I guess it depends on the level you wish to edit at.

Imovie is simple, so is Windows Movie Maker, they're basic video editors

Macs are not any better at artistic endevours than PCs, Windows based atleast (Linux does have a little trouble with some software that usually needs to be run through an emulator). In some areas of art, like 3D art, PC workstations will hold an advantage as they are not limited in GPU options and case size limits as well as robust heat dispersion either through many fans or liquid cooling.

Although if someone really wanted to have a bit of power when doing 'Mac' stuff, then they could simply custom build a PC then simply Hackintosh the Mac OS onto it... Of course you'd run into a few problems with the GPU most likely and the OS wouldn't work on any AMD based CPU

Don't even let me mention how much easier it is to work with high bitrate music when having the extra oomph of a well spec'd PC is... Of course don't do what I accidently did and encode your music into 24,900 kbps WAV's.

I have used both. I prefer Garage Band over Fruity Loops. Garage Band makes it simpler to compose, its much faster too. Fruity Loops is also good, but it's so complex that it makes making 20 seconds of song a chore.

Garage Band is for amateurs and it can't do anywhere close as much as fruity loops.

Explain to me why it is for Amateurs, your statement isn't worth much otherwise.
