I commented expecting a huge shitstorm between who good and bad presidents were. Now I look stupid. Here's a funny gif to make up for my idiocy.

According to my AP History teacher, a president is judged based on the quality of his nation's economy during his term. This means that even though Bill Clinton wasn't very moral, he was a great president because of the thriving economy at the time. Likewise, going all the way back to the 1800's- John Quincy Adams was an alright guy but not a good president because the economy was going through shit.
So one could say whatever they like about Obama, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but America's economy continued to collapse under his first term.

Because the economic storm was cooking long before his term, the last one, and the last one before that. It's the way the economy works, and in my opinion, the government shouldn't try to revive it with spending and programs, just let the market take its course.

Of course. Our problems began with Bush, I suppose. We're always going to be going through a steady boom-and-bust cycle. I guess what defines a president is how he handles the problems at the time.

Yeah cause a guy who haas been gone for 4 years is the problem. Im not saying his decisions aren't affecting it, but when 4 years under a new president the deficit had a near 500% increase, id say he's doing something wrong. Bush isnt spenging that money anymore.
