i can explain this fairly easily, 1. the list is not accurate 2. if you look at the map, its practically the same as the civil war, the south voted romney, the north voted obama, and its not coincidence, the south still hates niggers as a whole, meanwhile the entire east coast has been democratic for years, along with the fact that california has been voting democratic for the last 20 something years now

I"m from Wisconsin, I'm surprised we're not on the best states list because we have an awesome educational system.
User avatar #107 to #103 - vivapinatapro (11/09/2012) [-]
It's a bullshit list. As in, it's not accurate, and misrepresents states.North Carolina is one of the most educated states, as nearly 40% of the adult population have a degree. They have big schools like UNC, Duke, NC St, and Ashevale. But yet they're not in the top 10? Yeah, I call bullshit.

well when you also think about, I just noticed another correlation, Alabama, Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi are all on the list, what colleges are in these states that are famous (to a degree!)? Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Tennessee, LSU, an Alabama Crimson Tide, ALL SEC schools, and many of them with winning records and dominating football, coincidence? I THINK NOT!
this is obviously personal bias and bullshit because I hate the SEC

Based on % of people over 25 with college degrees

If you are over 25 and don't have a college education, you're a fucking idiot and a redneck inbred dumbass

Because getting a degree in Real Estate makes me smarterer than people who dont, right?

having a college education regardless of field will make a person smarter in a lot of aspects, obviously taking into consideration the classes they took, the college they went to, and how much they've learned. I go to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, it's a tiny school and obviously would not look good on a resume because it's a small college, but I've learned a lot and the classes I take require a lot of intelligence to work with. I already feel 10x smarter than how I was from High School, after taking sociology, ethics, psychology, race ethnics and diversity, and American Contemporary Society, I know so much more about people, my country, and I also have a lot more respect at the same time. It's also affected my personal viewpoints on politics, so yes, there's a lot of correlation between that comparison and having a college education. It's a shame too because many of these classes I've mentioned should be high school, not because to save time from college, but because they will prepare our students better on how to vote, treat people, and most importantly, treat our nation.

so what youre saying is in all of the urban areas, theres still a much larger % of whites? this is a shit map, i mean even the title is "Black Persons"
User avatar #106 to #79 - frenchfryy (11/09/2012) [-]
that map is bullshit, I live in Green Bay and the black population is rising fast (not that that's a bad thing), and I also know there's a lot of black people in Milwaukee...

I'm from Lexington. I go to Purdue, am a Civil Engineering major, and my city is one of the smartest cities in the country. Lexington is highly conservative. Where is your God now? www.usnewsuniversitydirectory.com/articles/top-10-smartest-cities-in-america_12429.aspx

Lynn probably has one of the worst school systems in MA, there's no doubt they are extremely left leaning.
