Black parenting

as a society we've moved beyond actual hatred of different races, but hatred of different sexualities is still present. we can be racist on here because it's ironic, the racial stereotypes are already there, we're just using them. We can do the same with sexuality, but less so because that discrimination actually affects many people today.

I'm white, live in a small neighborhood that is mostly filled with black people. trash always fills their yards, they buy pitbulls and chain them up and give them no attention. ask why they aren't nice to their dogs. they say "they look cool" and they laugh at me when I am confused as to why anyone would do something like that to a living creature for such a shallow reason. They drink kool-aide and eat fried everything, not just chicken. Complain about everyone being racist against blacks when "all they're doing is being an American and doing their fair share," when in reality, only five women in the entire community work. the only males I have ever seen have been children and teenagers. I grow up around these type of people. I go to school with these people. Learn about stereotypes in elementary.
MFW I realize that I'm a racist because I believe in black stereotypes.

It depends on the environment. My family rarely serves anything fried and my father busts his ass and only gets 3-4 hours of sleep a day because he has to go between jobs. But then again, we're caribbean and in Canada.

The thing is, people don't notice the black people that actually act normal. For instance, one day in my first period class somebody made a racist joke (don't remember what it was, but it was fairly harmless) and someone said "Good thing there aren't any black people in here!" completely forgetting that the person sitting right next to them was black. It took us all about a minute to realize that there WAS a black person in the class. She didn't fit the stereotypes of a "black person" so we practically forgot that she was even black!

I have no idea. I know a Smith, and a Wilson, and Bells, and Bailey, and Becker, two different Johnsons who are not related, I actually know a Gross, and at work i have to check IDs a lot and get a lot of names that seem to be of English descent.

I don't know, they just sound like stereotypical "Southern" names to me. I think it's cause I've known a lot of really "Southern" people with first names like that and I just find it weird that their last names match up to that where you live, since that goes so far back.
