I don't think it was magical, it was just built very well using the knowledge from the Apple. My question is why he didn't make an assault rifle.

lol. but in all seriousness, why would an assassin carry an assault weapon when they are supposed to be sneaky?

I just thought it was hilarious in brotherhood (last one i played, sorry) that the cross bow was so much better then the gun. aimed 30 times faster, had way more ammo, still killed in one hit, and made absolutely no noise. AND YOU GET IT AT THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE GAME.

You can't kill the heavily armored enemies in 1 hit with the crossbow. They were the only reason I ever used the gun

Armored guards could not be killed with only one arrow. That is when I used the gun
But besides from that I agree, the crossbow was pretty sweet

why would the assassins ditch the more efficient, stealthier, quicker guns for the modern ones?

Assassins creed taught me some **** about history. For one, I had no idea the ottoman empire had guns, and I also didnt know that the ottoman empire lasted so long.

Guns have been around since the late 1200s, and the Ottoman Empire lasted until WW1.

Coincidentally, the Ottoman empire was the first empire to use gun powder for firearms, and used this advantage to defeat the byzantine empire.

Slightly unrelated fact, the Chicago Cubs baseball team hasn't won a world series since before the fall of the Ottoman Empire.

Exactly, I didnt know (roughly) those things untill I played assassins creed.

To be far, thats only because I played assassins creed before I took AP world history.

By guns do you mean cannons or actual handheld guns?

handheld guns. They started off as basically a tube with a hole in the top you put a match to. No trigger, no firing mechanism, essentially a lethal roman candle

Connor just buys his guns or has them crafted by some blacksmith guy he met, willy ******* nilly.

Ezio had his gun crafted by ************* Leonardo Da Vinci . And when Leo crafts something, it's always better than what everyone else can make.
