The Police Officer in that picture is from my home town. He was in a bad part of town, (DRUG DEALERS) on a call with a few other officers and some punk shot him in the head. His partner had to sit in the back of the squad car HOLDING HIS ******* HEAD TOGETHER. He lived, but is all sorts of ****** up. True Story. Look it up Rochester, NY

Yes, drugs can ruin your life, if you do drugs and get caught, your life will be ruined as you will be thrown in jail. This is where the saying comes from, also can't say you weren't warned.

... When they say that drugs can ruin your life... They mean in this way (as well as the general you can become a crackwhore sort of "ruined life")

Honestly... I personally don't give a **** if someone wants to do drugs or not... I just think it's stupid to actually do it with them being illegal, because there is the chance of being caught.
It will ruin your life because it is illegal.

In my opinion the government should not strictly regulate victim-less crimes and crimes where the citizen is not harming anyone besides themselves. That is the point where the line should be drawn, but has been crossed. The widespread belief that someone has to be protected from ones self by a higher government is somewhat contradictory to our constitution, and has lead to a monopolizing of power by the government in many cases in history, take for example Hitler and Nazi Germany. Prohibition of any drug, substance or item, such as firearms which in fact congress is attempting to take away from us right now, has been proven many times to only heighten the demand as well as increase crime rates. Not invading on someones right to do what they will with their own body as given by the constitution is not necessarily supporting the action but allowing their right to do so. Granted there should be regulations, but the way it's being handled currently obviously isn't working. People are being incarcerated for ********* charges for a longer period of time than those who have committed very serious crimes.

This is true. I think that there needs to be a solution that is less invasive of people's personal lives. I more so believe substances such as ********* should not be regulated so harshly, there are certain drugs which should be illegal solely based on the hazard of consumption, but if that was the true intentions of our government, alcohol and cigarettes filled with rat poison and other hazardous chemicals would be illegal as well. The US government has been known to smuggle in drugs and smuggle them to other countries, and make a handsome amount of money doing so, and based on the things that I have read, heard and seen I've come to the conclusion that the prohibition of these kinds of drugs are most likely only made illegal for the sake of an attempt to monopolize the market, plaster it all over the news to stir up the population even more and make money from the arrests. Does anyone believe that a government that treats us like a herd of cattle is doing it to protect our own well-being? The only reason i can fathom is to keep us working and paying our taxes, which are sucked up by our outstanding debt before it ever goes towards what the money was intended for in the first place.

The more you limit the people, the more they will push back. Drinking is not a huge problem in Mexico because it is not banned to a certain age. ********* is not strictly regulated in places like Switzerland and they have a significantly lower drug-related crime rate. Alcohol being legal and very much lethal while ********* which physically can not kill you and has much milder side effects, and also taken into account it's link to remission and/or elimination of cancer cells does not make much sense. Blaming cannabis for those people who begin abusing ********* and then branch out to other substances is like blaming the store where the ******** purchased the firearm for the homicide. Aside from that, every drug is different and will do something different to you, so just because someone enjoys the safe high of ********* doesn't mean it will influence them to try anything different, they have to be interested in doing so anyways. Gateway drugs are a cop-out for gateway personalities.

I would do a bit more unbiased research on ********* before stating things like that. Also, alcohol is much much worse. You cannot overdose on ********* , you cannot drop dead from smoking too much ********* in a sitting, where as alcohol you very much can. We the people have a brain we should be allowed to do what we please to an extent and banning a plant is just ludicrous.

Im never said it didnt have cons did I?

I am fully aware of the damages it can do. I was just shooting down your comment about banning the plant. Its not the actual coca leaf that has such detrimental effects. Its all of the other things they add too it that make it so damaging.

You cant tell me that smoking pot, and smoking cocaine/snorting it have the same detrimental effects. Thats all I was saying.
