That's an extremely biased view on the elections. Both sides have faults you're only looking at one side of the spectrum. To say that people in the minorites don't try is wrong because ethnicity doesn't determine income and work, you should've simply said the 47% which have a lot of minorites but also many white americans. Secondly many of those 47% haven't had the same opportunities that many of the rich had and you're acting like the rich didn't inherit any money or have any connections due to their parents. There are obviously cases of people who worked from little to the top but most rich people were born into wealth.

Also Obama is more likely to win as he has more seats in the electoral vote and is doing better in the swing states, or that's what it seems. The popular vote is tipped slightly in his favour but the electoral, the one that truly matters, is tipped very much in his favour.

I live in Iowa, and I can tell that Obama pretty much has our vote--most of our population is middle class, and Obama won over us during his first election as well.

I love Obama and all, but it's getting really annoying to know about him and Romney constantly coming to our state to get us to vote for them. I know it's part of their election process, but damn, traffic is a bitch because of it.

The problem with the electoral vote is of course that once a state is won it becomes "irrelevant" almost, but they do have to show they care by blocking your morning commute and interrupting your tv shows. How else to please the public?

Obama gets most of the middle class and poor people, just about everybody else needs to be convinced one way or the other. But guess who has more money to donate to the candidate in order to win over those undecided people, poor/middle class or rich people?

We have voter restrictions going on. Because when you take a poll of ALL voters Obama is winning by a landslide, if you poll the LIKELY voters Romney is leading him. So the Republicans in states like mine (Ohio) are trying to keep unlikely voters away so that Romney has a higher chance to win. From what I've been reading it's close but Obama is still leading, but if these voter suppression laws really DO keep people away (it's backfired BIG time on the republicans in my state though) then Romney has a very good chance to win.

The courts are finally catching onto the these "Voter ID" laws, though. The people making these laws will eventually realize that they've been caught. Hopefully it's all out the window by tomorrow.

My state tried to pass a lot of different ones that were all turned down by the supreme court. But they eventually were able to restrict early voting hours, but we've had a higher turnout than we did in 08'. It's actually inspiring seeing people wait 90+ minutes to vote and a lot of them are first time voters and these voter suppression laws haven't scared them away. I think Republicans should lose all their seats just for these stunts alone, it's absolutely ludicrous, our constitutional rights are challenged right in front of our faces, I'm surprised there isn't more upset.

There has been rumor that Republicans will challenge Obama's victory if he wins based on all the voting complaints they've gotten from people not being able to vote. They will cry "recount" even though the problem was caused by them. But that's speculation, we will see...

Yes, it's sad that you get more truth from a TV show than the actual news. UFOs have been reported more than voter fraud, it really should be illegal to have to show your ID since it's illegal to make someone pay to vote, and you have to pay for driver licenses and all other IDs.

The only issue with not showing ID is that they're trying to restrict voting to citizens. We have a large illegal immigrant population where I live, and many of them are just as passionate about certain candidates as we are. Only problem is, they haven't become citizens. Not to get into the illegal alien issues here, but that is why they require ID

There are more reports of UFOs than there have EVER been cases of voter fraud. It's a non issue at best, it's just a cover so idiots believe it's really an issue when it's not. It's simply a scapegoat for them trying to keep people from voting.

Just a note, the logic behind your comparative argument is a bit flawed. UFO sightings are largely regarded as being false or easily discreditable. And a low record of voter fraud might actually suggest that the ID laws are working.

No because this is the first year they've been like this, in the whole history of the US we've had less than 40 voter fraud cases. It makes UFOs more credible than voter fraud. It's not a flawed argument, by their argument we should be preparing for the alien apocalypse because if less than 40 cases in the history of the US is enough to start this this year, then the thousands a year should be more than enough to convince them to start preparing for that as well... im sorry but what? every person in the U.S. should be carrying their I.D. on them at all times. seeing as most will be driving to their polling place anyone who doesnt have it is breaking the law by driving without a license. why should it be illegal to make someone prove they are who they say they are not someone who voted shaved their beard and voted again.

Because it disproportionally effects the elderly (who can't drive) and the poor (who can't afford to drive). It's also illegal to poll tax and you must pay for a license therefor it's actually unconstitutional to require it.

it costs i dunno 3 bucks for a state issued id. the elderly drove at one point in there life and should have one lying around somewhere. ive got people born in 39 who still have theirs.

Regardless it's still unconstitutional to require someone to pay to vote, and that's what requiring a license does, it makes you pay to vote. And I guess you don't vote seeing as you don't know you have to have a valid ID with your current address on it.... So no they can't get their old licenses out.
