I don't see why that'd piss us off. Not all of us Americans are douche bags who think if it takes place in America it's the greatest thing on Earth. I was actually kind of hoping for something like the French Revolution, WWII, or something with a big city and awesome architecture.

I was actually discussing this with my friend the other day and we decided that if they wanted to keep the story around this time period they could have set it somewhere else and it would have made the game amazing: France. I mean think about it, you could have gone through the French Revolution and even had Napoleon as a character, FUCKING NAPOLEON.

Goddammit that would have been awesome! Revolutionary France would have kicked so much arse!

Let me throw my two cents in this conversation... I think this was one of the better Assassin's Creed games, obviously not good as Assassin's Creed 2... but it passed up ACB and ACR in my book. Assassin's Creed was never suppose to be about seeing great architecture, for one. I really enjoy the subtle feel of the wilderness as you run through it and hunt. The story is amazing, in my eyes. I'm having the most fun I've ever had while playing a game. The American Revolution is epic, it doesn't matter what country you're from. Sure, Conner isn't the greatest, but he's suppose to be like that... For me, AC was never about the climbing or the sights, it was about the story and in-game fun. Which they nailed for me anyway.

Egypt 3000 BC would've been cool. if it would be supposed to go forward in time I'd say China 1700.

This game does have its many issues, In opinion it should have been delay back to Nov.20 with the pc. A few issues I will mention.

1. CUTSCENES, CUTSCENES EVERYWHERE! - They just absolutely overkilled it.

2. The "new features" they done a piss poor job of explaining it. The item management, map features, managing you homestead feature. it leaves me saying to myslef many times "what?" and "huh?" I should not be having this much trouble with these aspects.
I played all the other ac's, this one is just ridiculous, I hate to know how totally new AC players are fairing with this.

4. I HATE CONNER! -one of the main aspects was the main character being likeable/relatable. I understand that the developers wanted a more serious character. But they WAY overdone it with Conner. I Find myself annoyed at most times, due to him being way too serious on small things when it clearly it is not needed.

There is not high enough character max to explain the many problems of AC 3.

I'm from Ireland, we hated britain more then anyone, trust me, but I agree with him, Assassin's Creed 3 just wasn't up to scratch with previous ones, there's so many glitches, the story isn't fantastic, it doesn't draw you in like the others

I still maintain that Altair was the only 'true' Assassin of the series thus far. Although I haven't had a chance to play AC3 yet so my opinions of Connor are on hold.

Revelations bored the shit out of me. The story line and graphics and movements were awesome as fuck. But, could've been more action then cutscenes.

I haven't played through the series (I only played a little bit of one) but Altair remains my favourite character and (in my opinion) best assassin out of all of them

Assassin's Creed was awesome even though it is slightly repetitive. The second one was considered the best in the series. Never play a sequel without playing the prequels. That's one of the stupidest things you can do.

I skipped over all the ACs between 1 and 3 because I didn't have the money at the time to buy them. (Hooray, recession.) However I have had no problems following the plot of AC3 and the gameplay is fun, immersive and diverse.

You will be fine playing AC3 and then, if you like that, you can buy the others later.

From my understanding, none of the past assassins are related to each other.
However Desmond is the sort of meeting point of all of their bloodlines coming together, which is why he's so special.

Altair married that English woman, so its possible that someone in their line went back to England.

I'm playing it now, and it hasn't explained that so far, but it seems entirely plausible to me. Maybe Connor isn't even related to Ezio, maybe they're just both related to Desmond. But it seems possible anyways that in 200 years Ezio could have children or grandchildren that moved to England (although I don't know if he ever married Sofia and had kids or not). I mean, just 100 years ago my family was in Germany, and now I'm in the US, so I believe it.

Yeah, so maybe one of his kids had a thing for England :p and I'm glad now that I know he married Sofia.

I hated it too. It felt like a slap to the face after following that shit for 5 years.

Anyways, they are making more Assassin's Creed games because what the people want, the people get, but there are no more Desmond Stories.
