http://www.ncte.ie/viking/less4.htm - Here is a picture from a danish viking settlement. It wouldn't be any worse than AC3, and whenever the vikings went to other countries for looting, he'd sneak onto a ship and assassinate in other countries, with taller buldings buildings.

I honestly thought that the third game would have been set in Feudal Japan, that would have been ******* awesome.. and despite AC3 being amazing anyway, I think the american revolution is incredibly well documented and taught to a vast majority.. they always said they would make games set in times not very well known compared to other times in history.. i woulda liked Feudal Japan..

As awesome as that would be, it would be nearly impossible to do. Japan was an isolated country at the time, due to them either sending foreigners back, or killing them.

True, but the AC series prides itself on historical accuracy, they'd really have to push it for feudal era Japan.

If it was slightly after the feudal era, that could work. That was when Japan was forced to open it's borders.

I am gonna get red thumbed by all the amerifags around but I think this is the worst AC game You need to login to view this link was supposed to mean going through a compelling story while seeing the great architecture and getting dem feels from the character.
In this game the story is (not as) compelling as the others (don't get me wrong, it was great but there are better stories they could have chosen), the architecture kinda isn't there, and the character is a douchebag.
I think all that this game has going for it is the tree climbing, which is the only thing that RPG don't have aside from what they added.

It actually has nothing to do with being a "britfag"

This game does have its many issues, In opinion it should have been delay back to Nov.20 with the pc. A few issues I will mention.

1. CUTSCENES, CUTSCENES EVERYWHERE! - They just absolutely overkilled it.

2. The "new features" they done a piss poor job of explaining it. The item management, map features, managing you homestead feature. it leaves me saying to myslef many times "what?" and "huh?" I should not be having this much trouble with these aspects.
I played all the other ac's, this one is just ridiculous, I hate to know how totally new AC players are fairing with this.

3. gameplay glitches-nuff said

4. I HATE CONNER! -one of the main aspects was the main character being likeable/relatable. I understand that the developers wanted a more serious character. But they WAY overdone it with Conner. I Find myself annoyed at most times, due to him being way too serious on small things when it clearly it is not needed.

There is not high enough character max to explain the many problems of AC 3.

Let me throw my two cents in this conversation... I think this was one of the better Assassin's Creed games, obviously not good as Assassin's Creed 2... but it passed up ACB and ACR in my book. Assassin's Creed was never suppose to be about seeing great architecture, for one. I really enjoy the subtle feel of the wilderness as you run through it and hunt. The story is amazing, in my eyes. I'm having the most fun I've ever had while playing a game. The American Revolution is epic, it doesn't matter what country you're from. Sure, Conner isn't the greatest, but he's suppose to be like that... For me, AC was never about the climbing or the sights, it was about the story and in-game fun. Which they nailed for me anyway.

I was actually discussing this with my friend the other day and we decided that if they wanted to keep the story around this time period they could have set it somewhere else and it would have made the game amazing: France. I mean think about it, you could have gone through the French Revolution and even had Napoleon as a character, ******* NAPOLEON.

No, he lost all of his honor and equipment in the beginning when he lost the artifact. He attempts to regain it through the games storyline. At the end the master(mentor) betrayed them with the apple. So it was honor.

His initial motive was regaining his lost honour, but over the course of the game he learns what it is to be an Assassin and why he does what he does. He understands why he's assigned to kill his targets other than merely following orders, and is motivated by justice and peace.

But then, as he starts seeing from what the templars told him before they died. He sensed conspiracy. Then it started leading to justice. But, that wasn't till the almost ending of the game.
