Actually if you're being honest, from a literary standpoint it's a terrible read and as far as a moral guide? Yeeeeah no.

People disagree that a book written like 1500 years ago that talks about the earth having corners, 7 of all animals on a fucking boat, stoning people who work on sundays (or saturdays etc etc) is not outdated?

The Bible does talk about rape, murder, genocide, and a couple moral gray areas. It's not a good guide line for morals if you look at the whole Bible. Some parts and stories of The Bible are a good moral stand point. But all together it isn't.

I dunno, I kinda like when books don't always end in a happy ending. It doesn't seem realistic.

yeah the teacher didn't like photoshop either. but that didn't keep me from making 3 in 10 minutes that were better than everyone elses who spent a week in illustrator.

That's because teachers think that everything done in school must be done the hard way and produce results worse than the easy way would have produced.

I remember once the school librarian caught me looking at wikipedia (oh no!). I was doing a chemistry assignment and needed to know the melting point of an element (I forget which now) for some reason. So I gets on wikipedia and of course it's there on the right hand side of the page along with all the other data (density etc.). I had already found the melting point when the librarian approached and spotted me. She told me to use another site that required a username and password (school had one to use though) and required 5 mins of reading to find it.

yeah the nest class period, the theacher gave a two hour lecture about how nobody in the class has style and how long its going to take for any of them to have style.
