After the fall of the empire, Luke founds a new Jedi order. One of the first jedi's he trains is Leia, because she is just as powerful by birth as he is (Twins). A whole buttload of shit goes down, some evil lady appears. I won't say more because spoilers, if you wanna know google it.

The Old Republic books/game can be made into many movies. The current star wars movies are based on a small window of time, the Star Wars universe is thousands of years old, there are dozens of books out unrelated to any of the current movies. Plus they can do movies on the backstory of side characters like Han Solo. Just please godno if they make a movie on the back story of Jar Jar...
