there was a similar bridge in oblivion but instead of goats the troll had a suicide note talking about how bad of a troll he was and how he was killing himself.

Then Oblivion Wiki is wrong. :P There were no goats crossing that bridge, and the troll killed himself because "He wurst troll evurrr". When you check his body, he had some wine, and that note.

There's a similar reference in Oblivion near Bravil. The dead troll is holding a note that says

well it was a bridge and yes the goat sizes might be different because in the story there is the small goat, the older brother goat, and the oldest brother goat and the oldest is the one who kills the troll
