People with slow internet are probably used to waiting longer for gifs/pictures, so they're prepared to wait longer for a gif or picture to load. Besides, if it has a lot of thumbs, everyone is probably curious why it's so funny.

It takes about one second for me.

Well, some gifs take long sometimes for me too.

Not everyone has internet where it takes 1 second to load a gif, nor does everyone's browser/computer handle gifs the same way, mine has the tendency to show the first frame of a gif too until it's completely loaded sometimes.

Fair enough. My father was a fireman, but I never asked him his method. The whole "Fireman" part of this post I believe was lost a bit, as it was called a "Manliness" sort of thing. I just stated how I was taught in the USMC.

my uncle is a fireman and he says that he uses this method although only certain doors will be able to be kicked down depending on the lock. the other key part is to kick through the door not just kicking the door. that way all the force will be transferred into the door and not your body thus causing the door to fall down.
