Reminds me of a joke that is on the basis of that:

Where's the best place to stand if a nuke is fired at you with an american targeting system?

The target.

thats why they send the marines in first, their motto is one shot one kill and you never hear of "army scout snipers"

but see the army has the marines back, and that's exactly where they shoot the enemy.
point of matter is the marines are no better than the army, they both have the same training, only marines go for longer because of the different job they have.

The training isn't the same. Army infantry is trained to specialize in a certain area, while Marines are trained to be jacks of all trades. The Army isn't on the same level as the Marines. That's not to say that the Army sucks, but when comparing the two, Marines are, for the most part, held to a higher standard.

Actually, I've heard the Marines receive stricter training than Army infantry. None of them even begin to compare to Navy Seal or Green Beret though.

This is correct sir. Marines don't compare to Rangers or Delta either. RECON does though. Their training is 12 weeks instead of 9 for boot camp, and they have more mental break down in the training, which causes far less Marines to have PTSD or anything along those lines.

Still, Green Berets are like America's Spetznaz. They can probably kill you with a ******* post-it note.

Well, they're more of intel actually. In the matter of who is the best at killing, look at comment #29 of mine. Berets are more trained to be in a foreign nation and be able to survive for weeks in it and get out alive.

i doubt their training is the same, i hear from many people that the mental training that marines go through is a much more rigorous process and like i said in my comment below im not saying one is better then the other because were all on the same side

Actually, Army has the best snipers, it's just that Marines has more really good snipers. But the best ones we have are Army. Just saying.

Also, Rangers are sent in first on any Army tour, Marines are sent in first if it's more of a Navy operation. Also, their motto is not "One shot, one kill," because all of the branches are trained to use suppressive fire until somebody can get a better angle.

TL;DR: Marines are not anywhere near as awesome as they're made out to be. The average Marine is better trained than the average Soldier, but they're not at all Special Forces.

yeah they arent special forces, but every branch has their special forces including marines, and yeah my friend told me that to be an army sniper you have to hit ALL the targets, im not gunna argue saying one branch is better then another because thats just not the case, marines are a fighting force, army is a fighting and occupying force.

Agreed. Marines aren't trained to occupy, nor are they made to sustain themselves. Anything not combat related is dealt with by the Navy. Honestly, I never want to join the Marines or work with them, because every damn Marine but my uncle are just total pricks and super prideful, and act like because they're a Marine, that they're as good as Delta or Green Beret. I'd say the average Marine is maybe as good as a Ranger. And they have the same jobs really. But my money would still be on the Rangers.

But, no matter what, in a combat situation, SEAL Teams would win. Then after them I'd have to say Delta or RECON, then Berets. Though that's just sheer combat.

Each branch has tons of different special forces, Most have EOD, Navy has SWICK or however it's spelled, SEALS, and I think one other maybe, Army has Delta, Rangers, and Green Berets, Air Force has their extraction force, and maybe a couple others, and Marines have all their stuff. And Coast Guard has nothing, because they're Puddle Pirates.

Look, I'm all for branch rivalries, but you know that's ********. It goes too far when you just insult the other branch. I've seen lots of fights break out between 'Nam vets because of them being from different branches, and somebody took the insults too far.
