Lucas said he wouldn't be making any more Star Wars movies and then Disney comes ready to pay a shit ton of money for a franchise he's all but done with, that's like someone going to your house and offers you $50 for those shoes you don't wear anymore. Best.Deal.Ever.

I don't get why George gets so much hate for this. If someone offered me 4 Billion dollar for something i owned, I'd give it to them with a complementary blowjob without hesitation.

It's easy to have principles when you don't live by them yourselves. And let's face it, resisting a 4 billion dollar offer is no easy thing when someone offers it to you.

Captain's Log: Guybrush Threepwood. Admiral Ackbar was right. That free ticket to Disney World really was a trap.

Good God, guys! Give Disney a chance. If they screw up the sequel trilogy, THEN we have reason to be upset. But, they've done nothing wrong yet, so what's with all the hate?

I'm looking for legitimate reasons, not just, "Hepromisednomoremoviestheprequelssuckedbigdinosaurballswahwah".

Why is this a bad thing? Disney has done a great job with Marvel and the majority of Disney's films are great. Hell they took a theme park ride and turned it into 4 decent movies.

Why do people hate Jar Jar?

I am being serious, I have never seen a reason to hate Jar Jar, he was a walking deus ex machina and comic relief.

People hate him because he was comic relief. I don't fully understand why people dislikes the newest movies I found them enjoyable.

Who cares anyway. If Lucas was to waste his talent on making another Star Wars movie even though it's already great as it is, then I would've been pissed. I'm happy that he makes a staggering 4 bill. dollars selling a dead franchise that won't improve anymore anyway. Good for his retirement whenever that time comes around, and he can enjoy the fruits of making a fantastic saga. Lucas is gold.

Since I was eight when the phantom menace came out, that was the first star wars movie I'd ever seen. I really liked it, and grew up loving the prequels as much as the original trilogy. Yes, the newer ones are more cgi, but the cast and the storyline is actually pretty awesome.

As was pointed out before, Disney also owns Marvel and the Avengers. After the massacre that the prequels, it can only go uphill from here in this life-long Star Warslover's opinion. I don't forsee Mickey with a lightsaber.
