For someone who's seen all of three episodes of Adventure Time-- two of which were spent high as Ben Franklin's kite-- what happened?

When season 1 ended, the Land of Ooo being a post apocalyptic wasteland was just a theory. Now it's confirmed canon. We know that back then The Ice King was a young antiquarian named Simon Petrikov. He bought the crown, put it on, then shit started happening and he, most likely, killed his fiance and is forever searching for his "princess" now. While roaming the devastated world, he comes across Marceline as a lost little girl and gave her a stuffed bear...

-we found out the ice king was simon a long time ago.......
-Ice king didn't kill his fiance.......
He showed her the crown and when he put it on he said and did weird things.....
She (being scared of what just happened) left him and never told him what he said. (he didn't remember)....
Theres clips from before he went insane of him saying something along the lines of "if the crown wasn't in control maybe she will love me again and things can go back to the way they were." so he didn't kill her.

The "long time ago" is irrelevant here because kanatana here hasn't seen anything.
Betty's death is speculation. There is no evidence that she left and no evidence that he killed her. That is why I said "most likely".

Yea but when someone asks you what happened in one episode the only thing you tell them about the episode is "While roaming the devastated world, he comes across Marceline as a lost little girl and gave her a stuffed bear... "??? a LOT more happened in that episode... and Betty being killed by Simon wouldn't be "most likely" because the little evidence we have (video of Simon talking before the crown fully took over) points to she left him.

I was telling about the "epic" stuff, the rest of the episode was just Marceline and Ice King making a song...

the lyrics to that song ARE what happened in that episode......

I think that based on the new commercial, that the lich has something directly to do with the great mushroom war, and since Finn wished for the war to never happen, magic didn't come back to the world and Jake is just a regular dog.

its definitely possible. I can't tell if it is something that happens before the new episode or something that will be in the new episode. Did you notice the fin you see in the commercial is the fin from the mirror in the dream world. kinda cool lol. my immediate thought was that fin and the fin in the other universe were separate fins. and our fin was thrown into this new world with country fin and they will have to work together to defeat the lich. (who also got thrown into country fins world)

They've made some good movies lately, but you could very well attribute those to the people at Marvel. Historically, Disney doesn't have a good history with sequels.

The movies could possibly go with these.

There's certainly no lack of expanded universe material for Star Wars, but it does run the risk of alienating viewers with its depth.

Maybe something with Jango or Boba? I remember playing an old Bounty Hunter game where you played as Jango, and it was pretty good.

actually looked it up, it was intended to be a 12 part series. chances are if these three go well they will probaly make the final 3. The man who wrote luca's biography got a chance to read the original outlines for the serie but said he had to sign a confedintiality agreement, he did say though he thought the three most interesting were 7, 8, and 9, so thats good, kind of gives a ray of hope

the clone battle was one of my favorite parts of the series I won't lie, but I wouldn't base the movie on that, there was a lot of poop in it too, same with III, but I still fucking loved General Grievous and the clone battle effects in it. Still I'd say (without being a hipster faggot) that the best were the first 3 made

the second three (1,2,3) were definitely more serious, though i liked the humor in 4,5,6. the clones are sexy as shit, and jango is on my list of men i would go gay for (#1 on that list is sean connery followed by bear grylls) it had some slow parts but i still love 2. i watch it over and over, it never gets old

honestly I think episodes 1 and 2 had even more ridiculous humor, maybe it was fucking Jar-Jar... in 3 he learned and kept his gungan mouth shut, so I think that's my favorite of the later 3. I don't know, I still love the feel of the first three, I remember scenes from Mos Eisley were wonderful, it had pretty damn good actors too. Anyway my point is I totally agree, clones are sexy as balls in a vice, but I can't judge the movie as good because of that.

The Obi-wan/Darth Vader fight is not about the fight itself, its about whats going on between the characters. It may have not as been as flashy as the fight between obi wan and Anakin, but there was so much more going on, especially when obi wan let darth vader kill him.
If you think it's all about effects, then you're the cancer that ruined the prequels.

The only problem I have with it is that they aren't updating the originals, they're making whole new additions to the franchise. In my opinion, which is shared by many others, the franchise has enough movies and should be ended rather than revived like so many other franchises which turned out horribly. But I could be wrong and this could be an awesome movie like the Avengers, I just don't believe it will be.

I too am very excited to see an up to date version; everyone pretends the aesthetic value of the original trilogy is enough to outweigh the now considerably poor production quality to today's standard (although it is undeniable the star wars films were revolutionary for their time) but it isn't enough. I have high expectations for this modernized version and can't wait until 2015!
