about 20 in a month just because i started to walk around more and socialize.
User avatar #104 to #100 - jalthelas (10/31/2012) [-]
Yeah, I wasn't grossly overweight. Eating healthy is like 70% of losing weight. I might only lose another 10-15 lbs., but it's still something to work towards. Every weigh-in fuels my drive to succeed further.
User avatar #119 to #104 - overweight (11/01/2012) [-]
I'm not gross. That's rude.

Well it depends on how much extra weight you're carrying.

Congrats on weight loss but 34 in 5 months is little progress. Don't get me wrong bro great job
User avatar #130 to #64 - usmcoorah (11/01/2012) [-]
34 pounds in 5 months isnt "little progress" LOLOL.....you serious right now? Youre counting water weight. Weigh yourself as soon as you wake up every morning, thats how you avoid measuring water weight. You can fluctuate up to 9 pounds in water weight every day.
User avatar #274 to #130 - jalthelas (11/01/2012) [-]
I weigh in every Saturday morning... I lost all my water weight the first week, about 6 lbs. I've been naturally losing weight these past 5 months. Just regular exercise and healthy eating. No ridiculous diets or extreme workouts.
User avatar #142 to #130 - zepplien (11/01/2012) [-]
*IF* I count my water weight I can say I lost 40 lbs. Your broscience is through the roof. Your water weight cant add up to 10lbs. 6 probably at most. 34 in 5 months is little progress. In 5 months you can lose 50-65. Which is what he should be aiming for.
User avatar #282 to #142 - jalthelas (11/01/2012) [-]
What if I don't have 50-65 lbs. to lose?
User avatar #148 to #142 - usmcoorah (11/01/2012) [-]
I don't know what textbooks youre reading or wikipedia page you have pulled up, but 50-65 pounds is just not realistic if youre going at it all natural with just diet and exercise. And actually, I would fluctuate 7-9 pounds during wrestling season every day in water weight through sweat. So yeah, it can add up to 10lbs if youre hydrated.
User avatar #227 to #148 - zepplien (11/01/2012) [-]
I cut for wrestling and I weighed in before and after every workout. I would only see 3-5 diference. Unrealistic? Really? Diet and good exercise. Real mother ******* training will get you there. I've seen it happen. Unrealistic is just what faggots like you want to say when they're too scared to work hard and want to tell people **** they dont know about.
#305 to #227 - usmcoorah (11/01/2012) [-]
LOL. I know all about working hard buddy. You think this was from not working my ass off? Now please, continue to tell me about things you know nothing about.

HA. Implying you worked for that. Odds are its genetics. If you really knew the meaning of hard work you wouldnt use a tatoo to flaunt it
#307 to #306 - usmcoorah (11/01/2012) [-]
Its a motivated tattoo for the Marine Corps. Want me to post a picture of what I was given through genetics? I can do that too, and I was a scrawny **** . This was me beginning of freshman year in highschool...dont mind the long ass hair.

lmao thank you. I went to the gym for a few weeks with a friend just for the hell of it, saw some results and I loved the confidence it gave me, so I just kept going.
User avatar #310 to #309 - zepplien (11/02/2012) [-]
Yeah in my weight loss(nothing compared to your bulk) I stared losing to make 112(this was my freshman year) and what kept me going was even the smallest results.
User avatar #314 to #310 - usmcoorah (11/02/2012) [-]
Yeah, it feels good to see results. It also helps in the female department too haha.
User avatar #315 to #314 - zepplien (11/02/2012) [-]
Definitely. The confidence I have now is nothing compared to then haha.

May I ask what diet regulations you provide for yourself?

I tried lowering carbs but, carbs make the best quick easy cheao meals :(
User avatar #69 to #47 - jalthelas (10/31/2012) [-]
Fat-free, low-sugar, low-carb
Caged-free / antibiotic free eggs
Rice: 2 days per week
Pasta: 1 day per week
Meat: Beef - 1 day per week, Fish - 3 days per week, Chicken - 2 days per week, Pork - Once a month, Turkey - Substitute anywhere (ex. use ground turkey in spaghetti sauce instead of ground beef)
Vegetables: Carrots - one meal per day, Green leafy often (All you can eat)

Workout: Cardio 6 days/week, Weight Training 3 days/week

And my older brother (an Air Force civilian) makes workout sheets for me to use for a couple of weeks at a time.
User avatar #301 to #69 - TheCodFather (11/01/2012) [-]
Isn't pasta and rice really high in carbs?
User avatar #303 to #301 - jalthelas (11/01/2012) [-]
Rice is really good for you, and you only have pasta once a week, so it's not bad.
User avatar #71 to #69 - jalthelas (10/31/2012) [-]
And keep calorie count between 1,800 and 2,000 a day.

#40 to #34 - aviatrix (10/31/2012) [-]
******* THIS.

Every single one of you ************* should be this confident. Feeling beta and fat? Get out there and kick that **** in the face. Too much work? Deal with it. Life's a bitch. Then you die. Don't spend it whining about how unfair it all is. Anyway, good work man.
#259 to #40 - FJrulez (11/01/2012) [-]
**** YEAH!! Best and most fun thing that
s happened to me since September last year is getting a gym membership. Have started seeing results, and I can now say that I indeed DO lift. Plus, nothing feels better than knowing you're active and not a totally lazy person :).

Ever hear of depression?
User avatar #109 to #51 - xwilly (11/01/2012) [-]
Low willpower is depression.
"Oh I'm sad/angry at myself/other people/etc."
"Instead of doing something about it, I'm going to be a little bitch and cry about it."

I was like you, then I took charge of my life.
I started going to the gym, eating healthier, cut my justin beiber faggot hair, picked up the guitar, studied more, put myself into social situations, made an effort.

I needed an asshole to tell me to wake the **** up and take charge.
Well guess what, I'm your asshole. Make sure that your life is a happy one.

Are you living a story that is worth telling?

User avatar #269 to #109 - EdwardNigma (11/01/2012) [-]
Oh yeah thanks. I'll just go and suddenly remove all my angst, anger and sadness willy ******* nilly. Because depressions the easiest thing to get over. All I have to do is amass thousands of dollars so my family doesn't get kicked out of my house, get over almost crippling social anxiety and then I too can be just like every other person.

No.
User avatar #139 to #109 - thepyras (11/01/2012) [-]
The taking charge of your life thing is good advice, but I don't think you ever were legitimately depressed or even know what depression is.
