I fully understand what you are saying, but allow me to offer an alternate point of view:

Nothing wrong with putting your name in he title. Gets his/her name out there, and since he's/she's giving us free entertainment, I'd say he/she can do whatever the hell he/she feels like. Also, the title isn't exactly integritous, considering a lot of people simply put "Title."

Everything about your argument is just screams "inside the box!" Yes, there was a lot of dilly-dattling and there was no true punchline. But I kind of liked it. Had a sitcom-like feel to it. And though there was no grand, super-funny joke, I chucked a few times. Is that necessarily worse/better? No, just different. And you neglected to see the comic was supposed to be cute as well as funny, which it was. You saw that as "attention seeking." Overall the comic wasn't amazing, but it was good and a nice change of pace.

1: Name's not an issue here. It just works because that's the name he's given both the male character and the comic. It helps people who search for his comics to find them. It would be nice if there was some sort of identification in the title past that of chronology though, simply so you can better remember which is which.

2: I don't mind the character designs. It actually fits the idea of the girl because she was created to be wonderful in every way... + The Internet and he doesn't strike me as an Emo, just having strange Animé hair.

3: That's opinion based so Ima leave it be

4: True, character-based comedy requires us to care for them, however some people empathise with characters faster than others. I already empathise with the both of them from the first comic because I've seen aspects of both characters before brought together in similar ways. The smart-ass who always gets the bum deal and the hot girl who treats people like shit but they're still friends. Both try to one-up each other as much as possible because that is the basis of their friendship.

I do not know if this is because I've seen webcomics before or just because I empathise quickly but I find that I already enjoy character humour from these characters.

It would be nice if the up and coming comics help to diversify the situations though so we get a better idea of who they are as people.

Oh, as for point 5: The boobs aren't there to be sexy for the audience, they're there to be sexy for:
1: The sake of satire over the whole "Sexy ... Outfit" thing that women have to deal with.
2: To emphasise that she treats men like tools and isn't afraid to exploit their weaknesses.

I don't think that stark-white cleavage in that draw-style is really gonna count as fan-service. What's even 'more' is that technically, as this is the second chapter, it's not fan-service. How can you have fan-service when there's no fans yet? Hrmm... though this last bit is merely conjecture and doesn't matter at this point.

Ah, then that may just explain why I feel familiar with them. Still, he brings up very valid points and whilst I do not believe they were problems for me, or for everyone in general, just an undisclosed number, I'm glad they were voiced in a reasonable manner.

I must say, the art style feels kinda reminiscent of Homestuck but that is perhaps simply because of the use of green and purple and me just waking up.

Meh, I know what you mean. People have different tastes and all that. I do like Baccano and things that are more intense in their writing style than the average shounen fare but I like to stay grounded too with a nice shounen or two every week. I enjoy the creativity that goes into the art-style and ideas that appear in the story as much as I like the daft humour.

I'm guessing from the posts you make that you tend to save yourself for a higher quality of writing (well, that's arguable but I do think that Baccano is better written than all the long-running shounen at the moment at the very least.)

I'll like a Shounen occasionally, like Jojo, which I'm all caught up with right now, and I do like some lower quality writing shows for pure enjoyment. I just know I wouldn't enjoy 500+ episodes of One Piece.

Ah, well I still know what you mean. I couldn't bring myself to watch Hitman Reborn... urgh, it just felt like it was trying too hard to be funny whilst still wanting you to take it seriously.

Jojo is pretty damn cool though I have grown a tad bored of it recently. I think that's probably because I marathonned it from start to finish a while back. What do you think of the work that comes from Studio Bones then?

E.G: Eureka Seven, Soul Eater, Fullmetal Alchemist, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ouran High School Host Club, Gosick

I tend to like the stuff that comes out of that studio as opposed to other studios like Gynax which tend to be hit and miss (But when it hits... dammit. I still feel weird about Gunbuster. Watched it when I was 8...)

On Bones, Tempest is one of my favorites this season, but they could easily fuck up the ending.

As for favorite studios, those are easily Shaft and Brains Base

God dammit that HURT to watch... I've never seen such an effective subversion of a genre before and it came right the fuck out of nowhere. I went into it thinking it'd be a cheery, vapid and overall enjoyable series. Now I'm scarred for life and unsure wether I love the series because of how good it is or hate it for the pain it causes people who watch it... which really I think is the nicest thing you can say about a Tragedy.

One of my favorites for many reasons. A few of them personal, which makes me love it even more. I want to rewatch it but because of some recent events I don't think I can.

Thanks, I'll look into that and I do heavily suggest you watch the ending as Shichika just gets more interesting, culminating in one very interesting ending that is really stylistic but also has a lot of substance. A rarity these days but one of the reasons I love Animé is that style and substance can go hand in hand so beautifully.

What about Sword Art Online? It's a very good series but it pisses me off with how much missed potential there is in the first season and how the second season is shaping up to be a bit more conventional than the first. Still, the first 14 episodes throw up a great deal of interesting questions and the characters are, whilst not anything magnificent, enjoyable to follow the story through.

I'd suggest giving it a watch as it's not too long. I'd also advise you avoid the Manga as the animé 'is' better than the manga in this case imo.

Does that translate as Idiot's Story? Because the title is very similar to a series that I really like called Katanagatari (Sword Story).

I'd like to know more about that series and I think perhaps you might enjoy Katanagatari. It's a deceptively clever series that has a few shounen tropes but the art style is simply to die for. Don't let the minimalism fool you, the series is beautiful with perhaps one of the most intriguing characters I've ever come across (Yasuri Shichika). The art really does feel like a modernised version of a very old style of traditional japanese painting I've seen somewhere but can't for the life of me remember... yeah, my memory sucks arse...

Hehe, I actually have the Shichika account and gave the Togame account to a friend who wanted it. I was watching it but I've been extremely busy lately and haven't had the time to finish it.

Bakemonogatari is Ghostory(Like Ghost Story but one word). It's about Koyomi Araragi who recently had survived a vampire attack and now encounters oddities and spirits. It's set in arcs. So Crab, Snail, Monkey, Snake, Cat.

Don't watch it around family members. Shaft didn't censor much.

It's got a second season called Nisemonogatari, a prequel coming out this winter called Kizumonogatari, and then Nekomonogatari.

I didn't really bother picking up SAO last season. Only show I did was Jinrui and I need to finish that.

*nod nod* Well, I would suggest picking up SAO, at least for the first season. It isn't often that you find a series based inside a video game that is quite as cleverly written or as compelling as SAO.

It's nothing magnificent but it's well above average.

I've already got about 15 shows to watch this season, I don't think it would be worth the effort to catch up since it's at about 16 or 17 right now. In fact, I should be watching them now, but I'm too lazy.

OH! And just in case I come back at some point and I'm not horribly mutilated in the mean-time... since I mentioned AMVs, are there any good ones you would suggest? Preferably obscure ones or even obscure editors that I may not know of, as I do like to sample the field. I just like to keep my eyes open for any that I may have missed but others may not have.
