Zombie Practice. Halloween draws near... I practiced on my girlfriend. Let me know if there is anything I can do to improve before Halloween!.. I do makeup for a living and this is what i do for clients who want zombie wounds: if you can get your hands on some liquid latex and toilet paper. it is Hallow old fag

I do makeup for a living and this is what i do for clients who want zombie wounds: if you can get your hands on some liquid latex and toilet paper. it is Halloween you can find some locally. take your toilet paper and rip it up very jagged lines not straight. then you sponge on the latex and put one layer of paper then more latex then paper until you have about 5 sheets on you. let it dry and use a skin colored face paint or foundation and go over the paper making it look like flesh. then VERY carefully cut a wound in the paper with scissors, pulling up as you do but not too much to take off the latex. What you have now is something that not only is colored like flesh but looks like it because of the latex. Then take some black and dark red eye shadows or face paints and color the inside of the gap. Define the rim of the wound with dark red and black and then the rest of the wound with bright red shadows. Then fake blood it up or until you are satisfied. This is awesome on it's own. If you want to go extreme try what i suggested. It is freaking amazing AND what is done for zombie movies as well. Let me know if this helped or if i should just go away.... the picture is liquid latex, fake blood and eye shadows.

for those who can't get a hold of latex for whatever reason, the next best thing is to use gelatine powder, a tiny bit of boiled water and red food colouring. It's not as perfect but it's decent enough, plus it's much simpler and also much cheaper.

I have a horrible latex allergy. As in, I bought a bottle to play with, and my throat started to swell shut just from smelling the stuff. Here's my question. What sort of fx make up is out there for someone with latex allergies?

you can substitute it with bottled glue. I have a friend who's a makeup fanatic and she uses that when she runs out of latex.

For awesome makeup you can mix glycerine and gelatin mix and water!

So some one was super smart and had allergies like yours. there are plastic pre-made molds that you can use elmer's glue or eyelash glue all latex free and then you can apply your make up or face paint on top of it.

It's nice, what'd you use, toilet paper and latex? Texture kind of looks like it. You can mix some red pigment powder and Vaseline to get a gooey puss effect. Though I would add some black or blue (Blood red is a blue based color) to get a more realistic look. Also if you want you can cut some white plastic like from a bleach bottle to lay in the wound for exposed bone. A stipple sponge and some blue make-up makes a good bruise effect to go around the wound. Just a few of my old tips and tricks from traumatizing the neighborhood kiddies =)
