so cold-steel makes good blades? I got a Wakizashi bokken from them, its pretty good but then again I don't take kenjutzu or kendo so I can't really be the judge of anything but the durability and simple things like that.

In my experience, Gerber blades are solid. What was your issue with the product? Or are you just using the incorrect rage face or overreacting?

They market them as " Survival knives" and " Ultimate outdoors tool", but multiple YouTuber's have shown that knife, and the full sized fix blade failing to go through typical survival scenarios without damage and chipping to the blade. One vid even showed the tang popping right of the cheap handle on the third or fourth smack of batoning with it. The only good blade in this line is the machete, because it's really hard to fuck up the design of one of those...
Like you said, for a cheap knife, Gerber makes pretty good stuff ( Chameleon, Remix, LHR) but for them to sell out to a TV show host and slap a $60 price tag on a shitty knife that they know people will buy because of the name " Bear Grylls" pisses me off. Especially when in that same price range you can get a KA-BAR or Ontario RAT fixed blade.

True, but it's not a heavy-use machete... It's for light to medium brush. Not cutting limbs off or cutting down trees.

I got it for a little under $30 USD. It's REALLY nice though. Kind of a flexible blade, so don't think it's thick. It's more of a brush machete than a heavier use one. I mean it can cut through 1 to 2 inch sticks and branches easy with enough force and a factory edge. I would recommend it. I got mine at Dick's Sporting Goods for the same price it is online.

I'm from Belgium, so knives, blades and most certainly guns are pretty hard to come by (guns have to be completely demilitarised if you don't have a permit)
