Canada's pretty good. Alberta is very nice. Edmonton is cold as fuck sometimes. And a little too blue collar sometimes with the rig pigs coming into town on their days off. Livable if you can stand a few weeks of -30 degrees Celsius. Calgary is decent. If you like Denver, you'll like Calgary.

Chinooks are basically dry, warm air that come over the mountains. Warm moist air comes from the west coast, goes over the mountains, lose all their moisture, and then drop off into Calgary. It's very pleasant. Although I have heard some people get headaches and stuff during them. Something with the temperature or pressure changes...

It's true the average American now a days are somewhat ignorant and refuse change, so it's quite hard to switch from gas to alternative. We've been stuck on gas for so long that most people don't even consider the possibilities that could be already invented if we all put our minds together.

dude, america is a war based economy. if you ever watch oil prices they always rise right before a large scale catastrophe just so they can get us hyped about another war. im an american planning on joining the military, but im not so stupid as to believe that we are doing it to better america. we are trillions of dollars in debt and china basically owns us. american soldiers fight when they are told. we dont do it so we can "survive". we are the most powerful country ever because we control oil with the american dollar which is being outmoded by certain countries. we have no exports that can actually sustain us at all. all we do is consume and consume, and when we start running a little low we freak the fuck out and go to war.
