Nickelback destroys relationships

i really don't see why they are hated so much. people claim their songs sound the same, but they don't. if anybody can find 2 that sound the same, send them to me.

they put on 1 hell of a live show. They have good lyrics to their songs

And they are Canadian

I'm not a fan of Nickleback, but it kinda pisses me off when people bash Nickleback just to jump in the faggot bandwagon.

I don't get all the hate for Nickelback. Ok, Chad is no Freddy mercury. No-ones debating that. But they are a bloody amazing band. I went to see them on their current tour, and they are great live. Far better than any other concert I've been to, they really know how to get the crowd going.

Okay. Lets get some info in here..

The albums silver side up, the state, long road, hesher, curb, all with their old drummer.
All the wrong reasons, dark horse, and their new album are with their new drummer.

With their old drummer i think they were a more traditional rock band. They never really had a bunch of sappy songs like "If everyone cared" and "gotta be somebody."

Yes, they did make songs like "someday" and "do this anymore." If you listen to them, they are still more rock songs than sappy.

Their new drummer comes around, and BOOM - FAME. They started making songs tailored to more of a mainstream / party feel. "Burn it to the Ground", "something in your mouth", "SEX". All more party and bar songs rather than a rock song. YES, it does fit into the rock genre. YES it is still a rock song.

Metallica did the same fucking thing. Wrote kill them all, ride the lightning, master of puppets, and and justice for all. ALL "thrash metal". BOOM - Jason Newstead comes in, they release the black album, load and reload. All slower normal rock/metal songs tailored more to fit into the mainstream.

Everyone just jumps on the bandwagon because its "cool" to hate nickelback because of their newer songs when most of them probably dont even remember their old songs.
Probably just me, but i barely new any women that were into nickelback before they released Photograph. Everybody has to grow and attract a bigger crowd eventually.

I like them. And their concerts are fun as fuck.

The moment there's a nickelback insult post, most of the comments are people trying to justify that they're not that bad. No one is telling you not to like them. I personally don't like them but fuck it, don't take my word. There can't be a post about someone insulting the band without the comments being flooded with reassurance that they're good.
