for everyone wondering These amazing pictures were taken by Anatoly Beloshchin in the cave Cenote Angelita, Mexico. Here’s his description: “We are 30 meters deep, fresh water, then 60 meters deep – salty water and under me I see a river, island and fallen leaves… Actually, the river, which you can see, is a layer of hydrogen sulphide.”

Fairly certain it's just a bug.
Sources: I read the patch notes at the end of the bible.

A liquid that has a higher density than water just settles to the bottom of an underwater cave. Not that hard to figure out, it's like putting honey in room temperature water, it creates a pool of honey under the water

That's not an underwater river that's just the surface of dagobah wih a young jedi learning to use the force flying around.

Sorry I have had it with ******* trying to say this is some kind of brackish water. This is a hydrogen sulfide (H2S) river, it is located in the cave Cenote Angelita in You need to login to view this link is under 30 meters deep, fresh water, then 60 meters deep - salty water the river, which you can see, is a layer of hydrogen sulfide!

there are multiple other kinds of rivers even seas in seas whether they are made up of methane or other high density liquids but in this case IT IS HYDROGEN SULFIDE!

sorry for the rage.

Underwater oceans are where certain sections of the water have extremely high densities due to extreme amounts of salt. They ARE real, and there are entirely different species of "fish" and other creatures around it, as the usual ones can't handle that much salt.

you're wrong

it's a layer of hydrogen sulfide
