I think that was done on purpose because... after using pens to write for 2 years, going back to pencils... oh God... everything's just so pale compared to ink.

MFW you people run out of lead during a test while the rest of us can sharpen our biodegradable pencils.

MFW I always have multiple mechanical pencils in a test in case one runs out of lead, so I still don't have to get up to sharpen a stick.

There's really no need for more than one mechanical pencil. I literally only ever use one mechanical pencil for everything and just refill it when the lead runs out. As for erasers I use a refillable stick eraser. There's even mechanical pencils that both the lead and eraser can be replaced. That's only if you're willing to invest $10 in a pencil though.
