If you are trying to get away from the city, the Shire is always nice.

I've heard that since they got their crime under control, Mordor is not too bad.

Gondor is nice this time of year, but you wouldn't want to live there.

Rohan is far and away my favorite area, though.

Do not go to Auckland. Go to Wellington....... Or if you feel like visiting a black hole with relatively good internet... Hamilton

Come down to Dunedin; it's cold, and slightly boring, but we know how to party
User avatar #73 to #45 - ShitJustGotReal (10/19/2012) [-]
Holy **** , another fellow funnyjunker from Dunedin?!
User avatar #49 to #45 - blueghost (10/19/2012) [-]
I'm going to Otago next year for university, what should I expect?
#84 to #49 - expert (10/19/2012) [-]
Don't be a flipping loner, and you'll be all good (work hard play hard). Expect parties, and A LOT of work. I'm at Otago right now, so I know what's up. What are you coming to do?
User avatar #92 to #84 - blueghost (10/19/2012) [-]
I'm still undecided, my sister keeps telling me to go into surveying because all of her friends that do that get high paying jobs almost immediately after college, are you familiar with that? What are you doing?
#94 to #92 - expert (10/20/2012) [-]
Nah, I'm doing Health Sciences First Year. :/ Such a pain in the ass
#95 to #94 - blueghost (10/20/2012) [-]

New Zealand has **** internet, you will hate it here
#46 to #42 - xxxsonic fanxxx (10/19/2012) [-]
Not really, I get 16Mbps in christchurch on adsl2+ and with telstraclear cable you can get up to 100Mbps.

....Paaaaaaalmerston North...?
User avatar #35 to #31 - chrizac (10/19/2012) [-]
Nice try. We all know Palmerston North is worse than Hamilton.
User avatar #36 to #35 - nodoubt (10/19/2012) [-]
aw :(

"I wish I could move to New Zealand. it looks beautiful. either Auckland or Wellington would be nice "
I love when people say this who have no idea what auckland/wellington are like.
User avatar #88 to #19 - hairydickfarts (10/19/2012) [-]
well then. You can't really blame me since i live halfway around the world. I'll admit, i know very little about New Zealand. I just assumed that Wellington would be nice since its the capital of your country. Washington D.C. is absolutely beautiful, i would live there if i could.
#22 to #19 - fukyouto (10/19/2012) [-]
well, that was also during the world cup
#20 to #19 - fukyouto (10/19/2012) [-]
i went to auckland while on vacation for three weeks i thought it was awesome :(
User avatar #23 to #20 - Lainge (10/19/2012) [-]
you're a strange person
#24 to #23 - fukyouto (10/19/2012) [-]
it was during the world cup so im guessing that had something to do with it
#40 to #24 - krumpetking (10/19/2012) [-]
Probably. I lived in Auckland for about 5 years and I can tell you now, it's a ******** . Christchurch, when it's not quaking the **** out, is a pretty good place to live, but if you can stand the cold Dunedin's the **** . Mostly college students and young adults there.
#85 to #40 - expert (10/19/2012) [-]
I can confirm this.
User avatar #61 to #40 - Lainge (10/19/2012) [-]
Couldn't pay me enough to move to christchurch.
#80 to #61 - krumpetking (10/19/2012) [-]
Why's that? The earthquakes have all but stopped, and the ones that are left only happen every few weeks and are barely noticeable unless you're keeping completely still.
User avatar #81 to #80 - Lainge (10/19/2012) [-]
"the earthquakes have all but stopped"
which is what they said months after the first ones
and then the next batch happened like that guy predicted
#82 to #81 - krumpetking (10/19/2012) [-]
Okay, whatever you say. I'm not gonna force you to come here, just saying it's not as
bad as you're making it sound
User avatar #83 to #82 - Lainge (10/19/2012) [-]
Fair enough.
To be fair, I'm in hamilton and our greatest threat is that almost every single driver is incompetent as **** .
So more or less the same danger level as the earthquakes back when.
User avatar #91 to #83 - chrizac (10/19/2012) [-]
I used to live there and I can vouch for that.

Hamilton is one of the safest places to be in NZ, unless you're on the roads.
User avatar #15 to #9 - aldheim (10/19/2012) [-]
I would say Auckland is terrible, but I just don't like how big it is.
#18 to #15 - mcasianfries (10/19/2012) [-]
Thats what she said
User avatar #14 to #9 - paulxdragon (10/19/2012) [-]
Hamilton is better, although no beach... But we have epic night life.
User avatar #16 to #14 - aldheim (10/19/2012) [-]
I live in Hamilton and that is a blatant lie.
Your definition of 'night life' is really 'getting so drunk that everything is fun.'
#53 to #16 - nazidinosaur (10/19/2012) [-]
I am from Hamilton, and I agree.
User avatar #62 to #53 - Lainge (10/19/2012) [-]
I too agree.
Hamilton nightlife is ******* dull.
You ever walked into the city at 3am?
Nothing to ******* do.
User avatar #10 to #9 - dassnasty (10/18/2012) [-]
Auckland has too many people and Wellington is too windy. Tauranga is perfect.
#48 to #10 - xxxsonic fanxxx (10/19/2012) [-]
Auckland - Too many people, main city full of asians.
Wellington - Windy as **** .
Christchurch - quake city.
Dunedin - cold, probably lots of STI's because student/young adult city.
Hamilton - Another Student city BUT, practically everyone there has chlamydia.
User avatar #57 to #48 - aldheim (10/19/2012) [-]
I live and Hamilton, and I don't have chlamydia!
Because no girl will ever sleep with me.
#50 to #48 - letmepottwo (10/19/2012) [-]
Solution: New Plymouth
User avatar #12 to #10 - hairydickfarts (10/18/2012) [-]
