You can't argue wit video game logic!

While being a valid point, it is POWER armour, its not like its just a dead weight. Plus its powered by some sort of nuclear reactor if I'm correct. The armour enhances all of their abilities, even their speed (The spartans are the only one who can use the suits without shattering their limbs because of the neural speed required to operate one)

It was km/h not mph. That's only 33% faster than Usain Bolt sprinting.

Wouldn't a suit that advanced have some sort of accommodation for that fact? Basically what the comment below me says...

Actually, the armor is powered by a mini-nuclear reactor essentially. Were a typical human to wear it, it is responsive enough such that a slight twitch of the finger is enough to cause the suit to move fast and forcefully enough to rip the arm out of its socket or shatter bones. The resulting convulsions causes this to continue until the person is a twisted mass of crushed bones and organs.

So yea, it compensates.

if it over compensates that much for low strength, just imagine what it would do for a man with a small penis

John beat two hard-as-fuck ODSTs within an inch of their lives as part of his workout routine. Even without the suits, the Spartans were a force not to be fucked with. The Mjolnir armor does some of the work, but it's still just amplifying 130 kg of rock-hard muscle, Wolverine bones and whoop-ass. And John wasn't even the strong one. One of them (either Fred or Sam) was a full head taller than most of the Spartans. I imagine he could probably bench a Scorpion.

but in some of the cutscenes in the game he spints like the biggining of halo 3 he lunges towards the elite guy and holds a magnum to his face

not to mention if you watch the red vs blue series, you see a spartan II with the sprint ability and they can go for longer time and faster, Spartan III's are just failures.

I didn't say it was cannon, I'm just pointing out that it would make sense for a spartan II to get better use out of sprint.

You do realize he can LIFT more than a ton, run at something like 25 MPH without the suit.

The suit also enhances body functions.

Let's put it this way, it was so much, they had the suit on someone without the genetic modifications that chief had. The guy moved his arm, it broke so fast it caused several spams that splintered the guy and killed him.

Only a spartan can wear the suits, because only they have been genetically modified enough to use them without dying.

Yep, it's Kelly. I think one of the books described her reaction speed being so high it was unmeasurable with her armor on.

Don't the suits also go really fucking fast? Like the chief normally has to wait for marines to catch up when he's with them? Unless you play the games, then you're slow as shit. The books state they run faster then marines even in the 1,000 pound armour.

Yeah. The suits put the strength of Chief, I.e not the fastest, strongest, or smartest, on par with a brute in strength.

He could also run at like. 60 in his suit for pretty much ever.

That's debatable since a team of Spartans nearly got their shit slapped by some Brutes in one of the books.

That depends on how many there were. If a 6 person team of spartans like, say, Noble team went up against an entire army of brutes, they'd lose easy.

I think it was Blue Team, so it was John, Fred, Linda, Kelly and maybe one or two more of them. I can't remember which book it was. I also think it was the first time they had fought brutes, so it's more of an anecdotal example.
Also, you probably already know this, but the Spartan III's are weaker than the Spartan II's. The 2's where the super badass proof of concept, the 3's were the toned down expendable production model. One of the books describes an entire company of 3's getting sacrificed to take out a Covenant generator.

Spartan 3's are significantly weaker than 2's.

2's are the strongest. Examples are Kelly, Chief, etc etc. 2's could take on a brute in regular G's, and in 0G are weaker, only roughly on terms with an elite.

1's are the weakest. Example being Sgt Johnson. They can beat the shit out of the average schmuck, but in the end are trounced severely by the elites.

3's are the happy medium. They are a match against a single elite, on a good day.

The 3s were made because the 2s cost millions each. They were mainly sent on suicide missions. Pretty sure when blue team got fucked up was the first brute encounter.
