I think a nice set of almost tree houses on the inside would be nice? have inter connecting spiral staircases and wooden bridges connecting. Have fun with that build looks like it will be alot of fun :)

I actually made this 3 times more spacious than this but then the hdd of the server crashed... So many hours wasted... And yes, it was vanilla survival, all mined underground

I've done a few of these before. One had a hangar built into the side for the zeppelin mod

me and a few friends had a xbox server going and i ran around for a while to find the tallest mountain and from there i build a very large base atop said mountain i then cut down the ENTIRE mountain took me about 2 days of off and on playing to get the entire thing down. From there i took a bucket of water put it down the side and made an elevator type thing to get to my base it was about 20*20 and ten blocks tall and had 3 stories.. i was quite proud of it tell my xbox got red ring and i had to buy a new one and my server was lost forever.

This is only the beginning. I built my first home on a mountain. Decided to build a mine down the middle. Made it a nice big square spiral. Eventually I found a cave, but was frightened that, since it was also my home that mobs would get in, so I built around it, all the way to the bottom. Then I got tired of the tight halls, so now I have a ****** up hole thats 20x20 at some spots and 10x10 at others to bedrock. I even made a pitfall with a pool at the bottom for quick downward travel. You must not do this. It takes forever and is quite dissapointing!

tl;dr mountain mines, only once.
