it's like saying "big" is the only word for it's description when in fact there are several other words like "huge", "giant", "large", "gigantic","enormous" etc.
fantasie, phantasie, vorstellungskraft, einbildungskraft, those are all german words for imagination.

Interesting, you should read Mark Twain's "The Awful German language" I do agree those are nice German words though.

I haven't yet read that essay but my dad's recommended that it to me. My biggest problem with German is gendered nouns. English has none, French has two (masculine and feminine, which okay) but german has THREE with neuter, and there seems to be no system for telling what's what.
It drives me batty.

You should check out Serbian or Russian grammar...I am yet to see foreigner mastering it....even our prince that came from exile cant speak proper Serbian
